Some people seem to have sports cars. Some of us appear to be travelling by slightly confused buses. And occasionally life throws a blue shell when we're finally beginning to make progress. Perhaps arriving differently doesn't mean we're failing , perhaps we're simply on our own track. A reflective (and mildly chaotic) journey through Mario, comparison, self-acceptance and the strange ways we measure ourselves against others. Emotional blue shells included.

    Why do we keep finding ourselves in the same situations, relationships, reactions and patterns, even when we promised ourselves we'd do things differently?  In this episode of The Strange Files, we explore the familiar cycles we can find ourselves trapped in, why the brain prefers the known over the healthy, and how awareness can interrupt the endless rinse-and-repeat programme. Featuring reflective nonsense, strange analogies and the possibility that life may occasionally resemble an emotional washing machine. Warning: May cause unexpected self-awareness and a sudden urge to stop dating the same personality in different outfits.

    Whoever designed rivers absolutely knew what they were doing.  Because rivers flow. They move. They evolve. Humans are probably supposed to function a little bit like that too. This episode of The Strange Files spirals rivers, ponds, boundaries, scaffolding and the strange difference between healthy structure… and emotional stagnation. Because somewhere along the way, a lot of humans accidentally became emotional ponds with WiFi and unresolved trauma. Riverbanks becomes a reflection on: movement vs containment boundaries vs walls adaptation overextending emotional flooding survival structures and the temporary scaffolding we build around ourselves while trying to heal and rebuild underneath everything else. Because maybe healthy structure was never supposed to imprison us. Maybe it was supposed to support the flow.

    Okay.... Time to psychologically analyse another fairy tale, because apparently this has become areas of my life that I didn't even register at the time... But! I see it clearly now. This episode of The Strange Files spirals Snow White through the lens of unconscious patterns, false comfort, intuition, awakening and the strange ways humans can remain emotionally asleep inside situations they no longer truly recognise themselves within.   Because maybe Snow White was never really about being rescued. Maybe it was about awakening. About recognising what no longer aligns, about seeing clearly after long periods of emotional unconsciousness. About understanding how survival, conditioning and comfort can sometimes disconnect us from ourselves without even noticing.   And honestly? The deeper I reflected on this fairy tale.... the more human it became.

Also apparently trains are psychologically profound now, which honestly feels like a concerning development for everyone involved.
