    What the heck is happening to my body?? How stress manifests in the body

    This week I share about my medical history with stress and how it has manifested in my body over the years. From getting tummy aches when I was in elementary because of bad notes home to almost dying from a brain hemorrhage in 2011 to a frozen shoulder due to unbearable stress- I share my story to be a mirror for you. Maybe my story sounds familiar to you and you have been experiencing something similar. Maybe it's not just a tummy ache or a acne breakout...look at what is stressing you in your life that maybe showing up in your body. This is your reminder to pay attention to the alarms your body is giving you and to not ignore them because it can be fatal. Culturally, whether Latino or Asian, we have normalized constant stress and keep on trucking. Culturally we normalized not going to the doctor and waiting till its unmanageable. It's stories like mine that opens up the conversations to take better care of ourselves.

    Baddies do therapy | 2 years of therapy in the books

    **MAJOR CORRECTION** In the beginning of the episode I mention I started therapy in December 2022 🤦🏻‍♀️ BRAIN FART! I actually started at the end of December 2020. Alright, you may proceed. Forgive my brain spasm! This week, I share my therapy story. As a Mexican Filipino American, I come from two cultures that are similar in which therapy and mental health are very taboo subjects amongst our elders.     Biiissssh, I was burntout!! Let's talk about it...

    What is poppin y'all! Your girl, Nico couldn't leave 2022 hanging like that without a new episode! I reflect on how this year- 16 months have ended up for myself and my family. Let me tell you, in 2021...I had no idea it was going to turn out like this. This was my most challenging year overall in my 30's and I'm so glad to put it all in the past and grow from it. We are transmuting 2022 and moving forward in 2023.

    Take Your Bible Out of my Uterus! A Discussion feat. Goddess Lore

    What is poppin'!!! This episode was recorded exactly 1 week after Roe vs Wade was reversed. Goddess Lore, an Embodiment Sexologist coach, host of the Sexual Frequency podcast and my very good friend, joined me to discuss the f*****y that is the Supreme Court reversal of Roe vs Wade. Even Goddess's beloved bird, Peebo is ranting in the background. We are all pissed! We share our feelings post Roe and we talk all aspects of how this decision affects women in the United States and essentially how we think we got here.  I never had an episode like this where I felt safe enough to discuss topics like this but one thing I am super passionate about is women's rights and keeping the government out of our vaginas.  At the end of the day, this ruling only inspires me to hold even bigger space to hold healing conversations and to support BIPOC communities as best as I know how.     Where have I been the past 8 months??!!!

    On this week's episode, I reflect on the major life changes that have been happening in my life and how it's affected my family as a whole. Back in December on my final episode of season 3, I had no idea that stepping into being a super expander that my life would take some major uncomfortable turns. We experienced some of the lowest of lows in this challenging season of our lives and now we're trying to recover, process the last 8 months and gently move on.  Let this episode be the reminder for you when life seems like it's falling apart, it's actually falling into place.
