    Climate change is here and it’s getting worse. Environmental damage is getting worse. And yet, it’s still business as usual. Petroleum continues flourishing. The growth economy is booming. Consumer demand keeps on increasing. The natural environment keeps on losing. This episode of the Evolving Show podcast points out that under current circumstances a switch from a growth economy to a circular economy is a must. The powers that be (whether political or economic) benefit from the existing status quo; we don’t and we won’t. Each of us is a member of an influential majority; we are Earthlings. Let’s imagine for just a moment that there are no powers that be and the world is burning all around us. When the world is burning, there are no cities, no countries, no celebrity, no money, no race. There is fire versus life. Let’s imagine there is but a handful of survivors competing for the last bit of food… Why wait?! We can make reasonable changes right now that can still prevent a total catastrophe. Think like an Earthling, now. Act like an Earthling, now.     We can’t control policies that support fossil fuels’ use and yet, we have to live with climate change. Let’s control what we can. We can control our immediate environment and reduce energy use at home. Electricity and heat generation account for 31% of all greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. If we all reduce energy use at home, the percentage of carbon dioxide emissions will drop facilitating the switch to renewable energy. You CAN do something about climate change!
