    31. Reading the Bread to Learn about Bread from the Bread w/ Jasper

What does the Bible actually say about money? In this episode, Jasper joins the show to start with Jesus as the true bread of life and use that to look at the spiritual problem underneath our relationship with money. They cover treasure and idolatry, and why no one can serve both God and money. They ask whether wealth is bad in itself, or whether what matters is what we trust and what we do with it. They also talk about why Christians should work, create value and avoid entitlement, and what biblical stewardship looks like in everyday finances, including how to define 'excessive.' The conversation moves on to taxes and handling money wisely in society, then to giving, tithing and contentment as guards against the love of money, and pushes back on the prosperity lie along the way. They close with recommended books and resources and a clear explanation of the gospel and why it matters more than money.
