This is the Pokémon podcast I never knew I needed. As a 33-year-old dude who grew up playing these games and re-discovered the joy of the franchise again as an adult, this podcast is the perfect companion to my mature Pokémon fandom.
One thing to add. The guys need to ditch the insanely complicated rules sets they make up for their Nuzlocke runs. There are always so many that the hosts cannot keep them straight and are constantly breaking them, arguing about whether they have broken them, straight up forgetting they exist, or on completely opposite sides of how one of the rules they made up together could be interpreted. It’s maddening. Do a Nuzlocke. Do a character based or a MonoType run. But stop doing Nuzlockes as personas with 7 extra rules to make it “more challenging,” followed by 10 “clauses”, most of which negate the established rules they just argued over in a way they won’t notice until it’s halfway through the game and Josh is perplexed by Tanner’s incredibly overleveled “whatever I want” team and then spends an entire episode explaining how the rules were supposed to work to an indifferent Tanner. Please just talk more about Pokemon.
