This last episode was basically a copy and paste of another YouTubers deep dive on the subject matter, down to the catch phrases “you either die a hero or live long enough to be the villain”and outraged taking points. The YouTubers video was put of days before this episode released. Rather sketchy.

What is the goal of dividing out white women for vitriol? In particular regarding the Met Gala, you presume the intention of white women not dressing out for the theme of black dandyism as if they didn’t want to overshadow anyone-but what did they actually do other than take a back seat so as not to make it about themselves- which you also would have accused of being racist. White women have been chastised and redirected-just like all women-only they get it from other women as well. Men don’t do this to each other. This is crabs in a bucket mentality. You haven’t put forth any goal that white women have undermined for black women, you’re just complaining that they’re not being good girls. This doesn’t help promote and fulfill the needs of women, it doesn’t engender solidarity which is how progress happens, and it pretends that the needs of different groups of women are profoundly unintelligible to one another. This line of thinking is only useful if what you want is white women to waste their time flagellating themselves for their sins instead of doing The Work. And no matter how much white women were to take on black culture to be sexy, white women don’t sexually assault black women: Men do. There is a real enemy here. Take better aim.
