    Tsuchinoko

You're wandering the lush forested hillsides of Japan's mountains, when suddenly, you hear a strange noise. CHEE CHEE CHEE! A lumpy snake yells at you, eats its own tail, and rolls away down the mountain. It's the tsuchinoko! Part cryptid, part deity, this creature has been making people say, "HUH? FAT SNAKE?" for centuries.  Sources: Tsuchinoko Wiki- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TsuchinokoTsuchinoko Cryptid Wiki- https://cryptidz.fandom.com/wiki/TsuchinokoTsuchinoko Yokai.com- https://yokai.com/tsuchinoko/?srsltid=AfmBOorl7i8S9wi9vJKu6T7FMLVJgNO1FekZOMS5VPDUNoR0ANIXckivMythical Japanese snake creature many villagers swear is real explored in new film that looks at how Japan has changed- South China Morning Post- https://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/arts-culture/article/3263041/mythical-japanese-snake-creature-many-villagers-swear-real-explored-new-film-looks-how-japan-hasTsuchinokko- A Book of Creatures- https://abookofcreatures.com/2015/05/25/tsuchinoko/How to Capture a Tsuchinoko- IGN- https://www.ign.com/wikis/metal-gear-solid-3-snake-eater/How_to_Capture_a_TsuchinokoReddit post- Deep dive into the "Tsuchinoko" archives: My hometown in Japan has been documenting this cryptid for over 50 years.
