    Episode 10: I'm Back From My Spiritual Awakening

    Hi, hello, I am back! In this episode, I give a brief overview of where I've been for the past 7 months or so. I cover a plethora of topics including, but not limited to extraterrestrials, my experience with an existential crisis when I realized I was "awakening," how I navigated this part of my journey, and some advice I have for those who may resonate with what I am saying in this episode. My spiritual awakening is definitely not over, but I'm deep enough in that I feel like my feet are finally under me again and I'm ready to share. Thank you to those of you who have been here for me during this very bizarre time!     Episode 9: It's All About Perspective

    TRIGGER WARNING: There are references to over-exercising, exercise addiction, and body dysmorphia. SPOILER ALERT: I speak about the Disney Pixar movie "Soul" and disclose some information about the plotline.  In this particular solo episode, I turned on the microphone when I was feeling very low, confused, and down. The intention of this podcast was to "talk it out" with me and see if I would be able to figure out the core of my issues. The underlying theme of this episode is me speaking on how I am in the process of figuring out my purpose, who I am, and what I am "supposed" to be doing with my life right now. I have been talking a lot about how I have been trying to practice flowing through life instead of planning through life. In this episode, I come to the realization that I have fallen back into the trap of planning once again.  I mention my friend, CJ Finley, and his podcast, Thrive on Life!     Episode 8: The Judgment of Others is a Judgment of Self

    In this solo episode, I talk about a topic that has been top of mind for me for a while and that topic is "judgment." This year I committed to myself that I would work on being less judgmental towards others and towards myself. If you're anything like me, you may have a tendency to get spun up about things that are not worth your time/energy. I talk about how to switch you can switch your perspective on judgment and work with your triggers to help you grow as an individual and, ultimately, become a better human.  Recently, I've been struggling with the question "what is my purpose?"     Episode 7: Trust Yourself

    In this solo episode, I talk about a topic that has been surfacing A LOT for the people in my life, as well as for myself. I talk about how I believe that due to the way that many of us have been raised and the society that we grew up in, we tend to rely on external validation and support to make decisions that we are perfectly capable of making on our own. I talk about my first-hand experience with struggling with coming back to "trusting myself." I talk about how I spent a lot of time making choices because they were the choices that were going to appease those I care about most in my life. However, I concluded over time that I wasn't taking into consideration the repercussions my choices were having on the most important person in my life, me.     Episode 6: My Journey with Meditation

    TRIGGER WARNING - I want to disclose that in this episode I speak briefly about some difficult and possibly triggering topics. These topics include references to disordered eating/exercising, an emotionally abusive relationship, and panic attacks/anxiety. In this solo episode, I dive deep into my experiences with meditation over the last 10 years or so. I go into how and when I believe I was first introduced to meditation, who have been pivotal teachers in this practice, and how I am just now finally connecting to what I think might be a very solid meditation practice for me at this point.  Please note that I mention that I will talk about my journaling practice, but I actually never get there (lol). If this is a topic that people are interested in, I will host another solo episode speaking to that topic. The app that I reference that I use for my own meditation is the Headspace App! I have zero affiliation with this company, but I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make an investment in something that can help them get into meditation. I have been a member for many years and have continued to make this investment in myself. However, there are MANY free resources available on youtube, Spotify, etc. I highly recommend you do some research and find something that works for you, your personality, and your desired meditation style.  Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my podcast!     Episode 5: You Don't Need the New Year to "Start New"

    In this solo episode, I go on a small rant about my views on New Years' and the toxic mentality that sometimes accompanies it. You don't have to wait for the new year to start new. You can choose to start new right here and right now or tomorrow or in a few hours. 2021 isn't here to make things better for you, but you most definitely have the ability to do that for yourself.  I also talk about how this year has really forced me to practice gratitude especially having gratitude for those things I took for granted before we lived in a world where we weren't avoiding a pandemic. There are some things in my life that I said "no" to because I had an idea of what my priorities were. However, 2020 gave me a new perspective on why I (and you) are here. We are here to live.     Episode 4: Let's Talk My 2020 Goals and Objectives

    In this solo episode, I take a deep dive into analyzing my execution of the 2020 Goals and Objectives (GOs) I wrote for myself in December of 2019. Since I was very young, my father has had my family and I provide him with yearly GOs before the new year. This has been somewhat of a tradition for at least the last 15 years of my life and has been key in helping me achieve.  During this episode, I go one by one through the 20+ GOs I wrote for myself in different aspects of my life (professional, personal, fitness, spiritual, misc., etc.). I talk about my failures (duh) and successes, as well as, what I see for myself in this coming year.  If you don't want to spend the time listening to me review my GOs, you can skip to 26:35 where the meat of this episode starts! I talk about how my perspective on writing goals has shifted throughout the years and, more specifically, for this coming year. This year I am going to focus more on "go with the flow" goals. 2021 is for Dreams and Intentions.     Episode 3: My Quarantine Thoughts/Feelings and Friendship

    I have decided that the first 10 episodes that I release of my podcast will be solo episodes where I cover topics that are currently top of mind for me. I committed to recording every day (or close to) that I am on quarantine to continue to hone my skills and practice this new craft.  Please note that there are a few interruptions throughout this episode from my adorable Havapoo puppy, Peanut. He has taken to interrupting me during conference calls, podcast recordings, etc. throughout this new normal. In this episode, I talk about my experience with my 2nd quarantine of 2020, what I promised myself to accomplish during this quarantine period, and why I think this has happened (because I do not believe in coincidences). I go on a quick rant about the concept of creating vs. consuming, specifically in regards to social media content. I also spend some time talking about my current habits, things I hope to change, and what is to be learned during my time "off." During the second half of this podcast I talk about my friendships throughout my young life and now in my adult life. I talk about how I have learned from my "failed" friendships and am now beyond grateful for the people that I have manifested to be a part of my circle.  Key learnings:  We accept the love we think we deserve (which I believe is a quote from the book Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky) If something is hard, ask yourself the question "Is this right?"     Episode 2: Navigating the Need for Control

    This is a solo episode where I start by talking about my most recent experience with attempting to get a COVID test. This experience led to me sitting down to record this podcast where I chat about how I choose to navigate my need for control. I also briefly touch on the idea of energy transfer and how protecting + properly wielding our energy is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves.  I am still very new to recording and have not quite figured out a solid structure for this podcast yet. My goal currently is to create and publish content regardless of its quality.
