The Failing Forward Podcast inspires to help listeners identify the opportunities present within the hurdles and challenges of life. Through personal accounts and those of our guests, listeners will experience these moments of significant vulnerability firsthand and identify the lessons learned through the process. It is well understood that we learn from our own mistakes. The Failing Forward Podcast now allows us to learn from the mistakes of others. Our in-studio guests range from serial entrepreneurs to professional athletes, and have explored a diverse network of topics, including failed businesses, relationship hurdles, professional and personal losses, as well as addiction and mental health. It is not our successes, but our failures that have the greatest ability to propel us forward. Remember, no matter how hard you fail, fail forward!
Season 1 Episode1: Certainty vs. Curiosity
In Episode 1, Gerad introduces himself and the intent of the Failing Forward Podcast. You'll hear about his experience with depression and anxiety and how it has formed his new identity.
In a time where vulnerability is seen as weak or taken advantage of, Gerad and his guests do an incredible job of opening up with the stepping stones of their lives (good or bad) to become more relatable to the listener. There’s been laughter and tears and every emotion you can think of as you listen to the hardships and successes of some very intelligent business minds and how they got to where they are today with the struggles that inevitably lead them to their current position in life. It’s incredible content for not just business minds and the professional world, but also how to move forward in life through the good and bad times. They do a great job of providing examples and proving why failure isn’t a bad thing, but something to learn from as you reach your goals in life. I can’t say enough good things about this show!
I’m in awe of all the skills I’ve learned from this podcast. Strongly recommend if you’re looking for a self improvement type podcast. Actually I’d recommend to just about anyone! I’ve grown so much in areas I didn’t realize I needed. This podcast is a game changer!
