    A king for Israel: When we want what the world has

    We’re diving into a tough but important story from 1 Samuel: when God’s people misused the Ark of the Covenant and faced the consequences. Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phineas, led Israel into battle with the wrong motives, treating God like a good luck charm rather than trusting Him. The result was devastating. But even in the middle of Israel’s failure, God showed that His power and authority are never threatened.
