God Who Became Like One of Us (Heb. 2:10-18) | Herman Moldez, June 14, 2026

God Who Became Like One of Us (Heb. 2:10-18) | Rev. Herman Moldez, June 14, 2026 In becoming human, Jesus Christ became the New Adam to reclaim our role as God's co-ruler of creation and unite as one family of God. As Lord of all things, He sets us free from demonic powers by crucifixion. What does it mean to be fully human in Christ? It is a total mystery how the holy Son of God embraces humanity in weakness and humility. However, the secret of salvation from sin towards sanctification is the incarnation of the Son of God in the person of Jesus Christ. We can only become like Jesus Christ because he becomes like one of us without being ashamed to call us his family and friends (11b-13). We may not have great status in the world but we are the sons and daughters of God, His beloved from all eternity. Our dignity does not depend on people liking us but of Jesus becoming like one of us without shame. Jesus Christ continues to live with us to accompany us in our journey (14-16). It is a paradox, yet Jesus Christ's death, made possible in becoming fully human, defeated the power of the devil. We are free to live in holiness. Jesus is our example to face life's trouble and temptation without sinning and if we do, he fully understands how it is to be human. We are not alone with Jesus Christ who abides with us by his Spirit dwelling in our hearts. Jesus leads for us, not in the way of success but through suffering to become saints (10-11). He pioneers how to be holy in being fully human, imperfect but in the process of purification through pain. Jesus Christ is our hero to become fully human, created in the image of God. Divine bloodline flows in our vein. We are granted with royal status as children of the kingdom of God. How are you living your divine bloodline in being fully human like Jesus Christ?

    Life-Formation In the Holy Spirit (2Cor 3:16-18) | Herman Moldez, May 17, 2026

Life-Formation In the Holy Spirit (2Cor 3:16-18) | Rev. Herman Moldez, May 17, 2026 We are all being shaped by the world we live in. Our thoughts and behaviors are influenced by pattern of this world so that the institutional church is no different for its surrounding culture rather than of Christ. If we live by the Holy Spirit, we will be slowly formed to be like Christ, being redeemed to becoming fully human in the image of God. Life is vulnerable to forces shaping the person's being where character, good or bad, is formed. Human values are influenced by people we interact with, places where we live, and patterns of this world. Many are unaware of being developed within. The Holy Spirit works to form our inner being in the image of God to become like Jesus Christ. Spiritual life is growing in Christlikeness through spiritual formation of the Spirit. In 2 Cor. 3: 16-18, the Holy Spirit creates a process to develop Christlikeness. We don't grow in Christlikeness if we project an appearance that is not authentic with who we really are. The Holy Spirit creates freedom to be ourselves in the presence of God. We are free to enter in our naked self, without covering up, to seek God in the "naked now", aware and attentive of God's holy presence. We live freely with unveiled faces. The Holy Spirit guides us to focus on God's glory. We "contemplate the Lord's glory", His beautiful character. In beholding God, we slowly become like Him. We contemplate by withdrawing in silence and solitude to be illumined by God's light to purify the darkness of our hearts. Learning to live authentically in searching presence of the Holy Spirit and to seek God to know Him in His beauty, we experience formation in Christlikeness. Spiritual formation is a slow process, sustained by grace and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. How will you create more sacred spaces to allow the Holy Spirit to form every part of your being become like Jesus Christ?
