Episode 8 | Fourth of July, Marriage, and Texas at 250 🇺🇸 What really makes the Fourth of July feel like the Fourth of July? Is it backyard barbecues, fireworks, family traditions, Blue Bell ice cream, or simply spending time with the people you love? This week on Fake Credentials, Paul is joined by his wife, Jeslie, for a fun husband-and-wife episode filled with laughs, friendly debates, and honest conversations. They share their favorite Independence Day traditions, answer the questions men have always wanted to ask women (and vice versa), compare perspectives on marriage and family life, and see just how well they really know each other. To wrap up the episode, we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a special edition of “The Texas of the Story,” exploring Texas’ unique journey—from Spanish frontier to the Republic of Texas and ultimately the 28th state in the Union. Fake Credentials- 007 Episode: Rest Areas, Dreams, Traffic Lanes, The Texas Grass Fight...

What to rest areas, recurring dreams, six lanes of backed-up traffic, forgotten life skills, and the Texas Revolution all have in common? Absolutely nothing...and that's exactly why we're talking about them. This week on Fake Credentials, we tackle the debates tha somehow turn into hour long conversations; Do you stop at rest areas on road trips, or hold out for the next gas station of Buc-ee's? Why do we dream? We discuss recurring dreams, bixarre dreams, nightmares, flying, falling, showing up to work unprepared, and whether our brains are trying to tell us something or just entertaining themselves. You're approaching six lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic. Which lane do you pick? We break down the strategy, psyshology, and why the lane you choose is probably the one that suddenly stops moving. What are the lost arts we wish would make a comeback? From backing a trailer to woodworking, to typing on a key board, reading maps, handwriting and fixing things yourself. we talk about the skills that seem to be disappearing. Plus, our Texas of the Story history segment takes you back to 1835 and one of the strangest battles of the Texas Revolution, the Grass Fight. What everyone thought was a valuable military supply convoy turned out to be something much less exciting, yet the battle became an important boost for the Texan Army during the Siege of Bexar. As always, expect hot takes, plenty of laughs, a couple of ridiculous games, and opinions from people with absolutely no business giving them. Because were not experts... we're just opinionated. #fakecredentialspodcast #texaspodcast #texashistory #texasrevolution, #grassfight #roadtrip #travel #driving #Lostarts #Texas #DFW #podcast #Comedypodcast #history #roadtrips #bucees #spotifypodcast #applepodcast
