Interview with Patton Oswalt & Jordan Blum - Minor Threats Vol. 1

Welcome back for another round of Fandom Sessions. We had the chance to sit down and chat with the wonderful Patton Oswalt & Jordan Blum (M.O.D.O.K. Head Games) to talk about the upcoming release of Minor Threats Vol. 1. The collected edition will arrive at your favorite local comic shops on June 21st and brings you the first collected issues of the superhero universe being crafted by the frequent collaborators for Dark Horse Comics. The series introduces us to a dark, gritty, and comedic superhero universe that shines a light on the "blue collar" villains which sometimes are foreshadowed by those clown princes with high therapy bills or pointy-eared vigilantes. Patton and Jordan give us details on the series while also answering some fan questions that include a short discussion on Ratatouille's classification as a "mecha" anime. Thanks for sticking around and remember to geek out & geek responsibly.

Interview with Joe Lo Truglio | Outpost

Interview with Joe Lo Truglio | Outpost

Welcome back to another episode of Fandom Sessions as we sit down with actor, writer, and director Joe Lo Truglio as he discusses his feature film directorial debut for the film 'Outpost". The film which Truglio wrote and directed sees a woman seeking the help of their best friend to escape a violent and abusive ex. This all leads to a fire lookout in the mountains that sees the woman's trauma and PTSD take its toll in isolation. Truglio shares his process of taking on a film of this magnitude and dealing with darker tones than what we have seen him in before as he famously brought laughs to us in much of his previous work including Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The film premieres this Friday, May 19th, 2023 in select theaters and Video On Demand.
