    We are gathered here today to mourn a great loss. For over a decade now, the Fangirls have been staunch and loyal members of Team Edward, but today, October 25th 2023, that membership has passed away. Edward, you lied, gaslit, manipulated, and even laid your cold cold hands on sweet dumb Bella. So it is with a not-so-heavy heart that we say goodbye to Team Edward, and indeed, goodbye to New Moon.     2x8 New Moon: Chapters 18-20

    Listen, break ups are hard. You have to mourn the loss of this person and the entire life you envisioned with them. You're hurt, confused, insecure, and vulnerable. It takes time to move on. It takes time to make friends, to have fun, to feel okay again. But none of that matters if the person who broke your heart gets themselves into a comedy-of-errors involving vampire suicide, international flights, and grand theft auto. Who cares how badly they hurt you or the fact that NONE of this is your fault: you drop everything and go GET UR MAN! This week the fangirls go to Italy! Will Edward and Bella be reunited? And even if they are, will they survive the Volturi?? And even if they do, will things be really awkward with them now???     Ohhhh boy oh boy it's all coming together. Bella has been going through it. She's being hunted by a vengeful, deadly vampire, her werewolf not-boyfriend is always gone hunting said vengeful, deadly vampire, and did she mention she's still not over Edward? The only solution: jump off a cliff. This week the fangirls get into a juicy chunk of chapters full of warnings, pining, and stinky werewolves. Also just to make sure our bases are covered here, we do not endorse unsupervised cliff jumping during a storm into the angry waters of the Puget Sound. (Masters of Vampire Arts) Candidacy episode, the fangirls fill in a major vampire blind spot by tackling the iconic 1994 film and season 1 of the AMC+ series Interview with the Vampire. How fast could Lestat defeat the Cullens in a fight? How is Kirsten Dunst delivering that good of a performance at age 11? And where does Lestat fall on our ranking of hot, mean, blonde vampires?     We are gathered here today to mourn and grieve for a tremendous loss, the loss of Jacob Black's gorgeous long hair in favor of a buzz cut. May we all find peace during this difficult time. This week the fangirls finally wolf out as Jacob's new identity as a baby werewolf is revealed. Why does Bella immediately assume her bff is a murderer? What are the rules of Edward's condescending astral projection? Why did Jacob have to cut his hair????? We tackle it all and more. Next week is our inaugural episode of our MVA (Master of Vampire Arts) Candidacy! We will watch be discussing the iconic 1994 Interview with the Vampire.
