Warlock’s Sun Rising Review | The Best Epic Fantasy Nobody Is Talking About?

How is nobody talking about this series?!Warlock’s Sun Rising by Damien Black continues one of the most impressive epic fantasy stories I’ve discovered in recent years. After being thoroughly captivated by Devil’s Night Dawning, I had high expectations going into Book 2 — and somehow this sequel exceeded them. Bigger stakes, deeper character work, fascinating villains, powerful faith elements, shocking twists, and multiple jaw-dropping ending moments make this one of the strongest fantasy sequels I’ve read in quite some time.In this spoiler-lite review, I discuss what makes Warlock’s Sun Rising such a compelling read, why fans of classic epic fantasy should take notice, and why Damien Black’s Broken Stone Chronicle deserves far more attention than it receives. If you enjoy sprawling fantasy worlds, intersecting storylines, memorable characters, and a unique clash between divine power and dark magic, this may be a series you need to add to your TBR immediately.Have you read Warlock’s Sun Rising or Devil’s Night Dawning? Did This Sequel Just Beat the Original? | Becoming the Boogeyman Review

Today I’m reviewing Becoming the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar, the second installment in his unique horror-thriller series that blends true crime, psychological suspense, and unsettling horror into something that feels disturbingly real. After thoroughly enjoying Chasing the Boogeyman, I was hopeful this sequel could maintain the same atmosphere and tension. Not only does it succeed, but it expands the story in fascinating ways, raises the stakes, and leaves readers desperately wanting the next installment. In this spoiler-lite review, I’ll discuss what makes this sequel work so well, who it’s likely to appeal to, a few reasons it might not be for everyone, and whether this series remains worth your time as we head toward the October release of Killing the Boogeyman. This 'True Crime' Book is Actually Fake (AND Terrifying) | Chasing the Boogeyman

What if the most convincing true crime book you’ve ever read… wasn’t true at all? In this spoiler-lite review, I dive into Chasing the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar, a brilliantly crafted blend of true crime, mystery, suspense, and horror that feels so authentic you’ll constantly have to remind yourself it’s fiction. Set in a small Maryland town during the late 1980s, this novel captures the atmosphere of a community gripped by fear as a serial predator stalks the area. Along the way, Chizmar masterfully blends real-life details with fictional events to create one of the most immersive reading experiences I’ve encountered in years. If you enjoy true crime, small-town mysteries, serial killer investigations, suspenseful thrillers, or realistic horror, this may be a book you need to check out. Have you read Chasing the Boogeyman? This Fantasy Series Deserves Way More Hype! | Dragon Offspring Review

Today we're diving into Dragon Offspring, Book 2 in Scott Appleton's The Sword of the Dragon series. This epic fantasy adventure takes everything that worked in Book 1 and expands it in exciting ways. Originally published in 2020 and recently released in audiobook format, Dragon Offspring continues the story begun in Swords of the Six, introducing larger mysteries, deeper character development, greater dangers, and a dramatically expanded world. I'm reviewing the newly released audiobook edition, narrated by the outstanding Dave Cruse, whose performance once again elevates an already excellent story. In this review, I'll discuss: ⚔️ Why this sequel surpasses the first book 🐉 The expanding world of dragons, magic, and ancient mysteries 🎙️ Why Dave Cruse continues to deliver exceptional narration 🛡️ Themes of virtue, temptation, sacrifice, and redemption 📚 Why this series deserves more attention from epic fantasy readers 🔥 Whether Dragon Offspring is worth your time If you enjoy classic epic fantasy filled with memorable heroes, compelling villains, strong moral themes, multiple POVs, dragons, magic, and a story that clearly knows where it's heading, this may be a series you should have on your radar.
