This in an honest review. I read and listen to Daniel Gordis regularly and find myself agreeing with him far more often than not. When reading or listening to Peter Beinart, I often feel my blood pressure rising, and I will at times have an immediate negative emotional response and will find myself arguing in my head (or even out loud) with written words or those coming from a flickering screen - neither of which make for a good debate partner. I would never, ever subscribe to a Peter Beinart-only podcast, and I imagine there are a great many who feel similarly about Daniel Gordis. Hence the brilliance of this Podcast. Peter Beinart supporters may otherwise never be exposed to the intellectual and nuanced view of Daniel Gordis, and Daniel Gordis supporters like myself would similarly never be exposed to Peter Beinart or at least much past the point where I stop reading or change the channel with haste. In this age of entrenched and increasingly extreme positions strengthened minute-by-minute with twitter feeds loaded only with like-minded, and often not-at-all-fact-checked voices, hearing out these opposing views shared respectfully is a matter of supremely important public policy for the betterment of society.
