All of a sudden we’re quitting our “secure” jobs to pursue this thing, whatever it is, that’s calling us. In Krista’s case, it was earrings. (If you know me, then you know I LOOOOOVE earrings).

Part 4 of 5 How to Ethically Scale Your Business without Using Slimy Marketing Tactics: Implementation/Deploy
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, marketing is storytelling over and over again. In this day and age marketing is both easier and harder than it’s ever been before because it’s all about storytelling. When your marketing plan is unclear, and there is no story being told it just doesn't exist.
There are several things to consider when looking to implement and deploy your marketing strategy. For example, what does your user experience look like on your website, what social media platforms are you investing your time on, do you have SEO and several others.
In this episode, we’re going to cover the factors to consider in the implementation of your marketing plan after you’ve worked through the other pillars I’ve mentioned in the first 3 parts of this series.
And if you’re interested in diving deeper into each of these pillars, come join us in my course, Launch to Livelihood!

Part 3 of 5 How to Ethically Scale Your Business without Using Slimy Marketing Tactics: The DESIGN of Your Business Outside of the Aesthetic
Design is so much more than your logo, typography and your brand colors. In this 3 of our 5-part series, we’re going deeper and thinking wider about the design of your business.
Beyond the aesthetic piece of designing your business is what I call, design functionality. Similar to brand identity, marketing materials and web design, the design functionality of your business is just as critical in building your business. Both equally important, design aesthetic encompasses the LOOK of your business while design functionality encompasses the FEEL of your business, i.e. What draws people to your business based on how it makes them feel, and also, how it makes you feel? Designing your business to fit with your personal life and your long-term goals and visions, and finding ideal clients that fit your personality type and the types of people you enjoy being around. Never forget, people will hire you for you, not your photography, so design it in a way that aligns with who you are.
I also share some staggering facts about user experience and your website that will help you consider the design piece of your business.
In the last episode, we talked about the foundation of your business and the very first pillar of marketing your business, DISCOVERY. Make sure to give that a listen if you haven’t already.

Part 1 of 5 How to Ethically Scale Your Business without Using Slimy Marketing Tactics
There is SO MUCH information out there on how to build a successful business. It can feel overwhelming to know what you should and shouldn’t do. In my experience, some of the best advice comes from those who have been through it. Those who have made several mistakes tried plenty of tricks, and have been able to count their wins and successes.
This is why I’m sharing this five-part series, How to Ethically Scale Your Business without Using Slimy Marketing Tactics. I’m going to break down my personal approach to business, mentoring, coaching, and what has been the foundation of what would end up being a million-dollar photography business. Trust me, I’ve been there, done that when it comes to getting a business off the ground, and I’m passionate about sharing all the ins and outs with others so you don’t have to feel all alone.
In this first episode of five, I share the three mistakes I see people make when it comes to ethically scaling their business. Marketing yourself is so important! Afterall, it’s how people find your business. Sales and marketing should not feel slimy. It should be an invitation and it has to come from the heart if you want it to make waves.
If you find yourself paralyzed to even start, or hiding behind factors that don’t push you to truly put yourself out there, or if you’re struggling to niche down and know how to market yourself in a way that feels GOOD and true to you, give this episode a listen.

How to Strategically Plan Your Entrepreneurial Business By Taking A Sabbatical | with Guest Kelsey Berlinberg of Forevergreen Photography
You’re grinding away at your 9-5 corporate job but the urge to leave and pursue your entrepreneurial passion is persistently calling you to take a leap of faith and build your business.
On this episode, I’m talking with Kelsey Berlinberg of Forevergreen Photography who has strategically planned to take a sabbatical through her corporate job to feel out the life of entrepreneurship. Kelsey’s mind operates on logic, so this plan only makes sense. She’s mindfully set her foundation, saved her money, built the backbone of her business (thanks to Launch to Livelihood) and is going to feel it out.
No morning meetings, and no one telling her how much money she can make. Instead, she’s going to go out and find her ideal clients, set her prices to what she feels she is worth, wake up when she wants and enjoy the work she’s doing.
We cover the following:
The strategic steps Kelsey took before her sabbatical to set herself up for success
How she navigated any pushback that came her way and stood true to her desire to see this thing through
Her take on the value of having diversified incomes
The unknowns she’s stepping into, i.e. how to maintain structure and dedication when you’re the one who has to make your own schedule now
Outsource where and when you can so you can live your life and focus on what you want to focus on
How Launch to Livelihood helped Kelsey set her foundation. She speaks confidently about her clear messaging, knowing her clients and creating an amazing website!
If you’re on the fence about entrepreneurship, or you already own your own business, this episode is one that will inspire you to either take the leap or keep going. Kelsey’s confidence is inspiring and a reminder to stay the course, think things through, and not let other’s doubts cloud your focus.
