Breaking Patterns and Doing Things Differently (with Alison Roman’s Delicious Lucky Biscuits)

In this episode, we talk about doing things differently as we practice what we preach taking on a new format for our discussion. Together, we’ll make a fabulous biscuit recipe from Alison Roman rather than a recipe of our own - learning from a shared community, and talk about what it requires to break patterns.

Spring Fever and Focaccia: Reemerging to Rise

Spring Fever and Focaccia: Reemerging to Rise

We all go through seasons in our lives that require us to reemerge from a period of bleakness, sadness, or lack of inspiration.  Spring beckons reemergence and this episode draws inspiration from the season and an unexpected burst from our garden as we talk about the steps to reemergence and the growth that lays dormant waiting for the right moment to thrive.  We will prepare a spring focaccia recipe topped with fresh garden veggies and see the dough activate and rise, and then share it as a meal spending time together.

Eating Disorders: When Our Relationship with Food Becomes Destructive with Guest Corinne Croce

We love food and how it brings us together, but in some cases there can be a darker side and the relationship with food can become destructive for many people.  This week marks the beginning of Eating Disorders Awareness Week and because we believe food helps nourish growth, we are creating important dialogue around this topic.  In this episode, Corinne Croce, DPT and co-owner of Body Evolved in NYC, shares her personal story with an eating disorder and how she healed. She offers her perspective on the underlying emotional components that manifest in eating disorders and thoughful advice on how we can help support recovery.  Join us for this honest and vulnerable discussion that illuminates this very challenging struggle and what it means to be healthy.
Visit the National Eating Disorders Association for more information about Eating Disorders Awareness Week and resources.

Absolutely love

I love this podcast! I love how much fun, wisdom and recipe learning is packed into a quick listen so I never miss an episode. I find each episode thought provoking and inspiring. Can't wait to keep learning more about myself, life and cooking. The recipes are so manageable, it makes someone new to cooking comfortable to try them. And I reflect on the hosts words long after the episode is finished. Powerful listen.
