Hi, it's Dr Manon Bolliger, ND and I want to welcome you to the Healers Cafe. I am so excited to be doing this series of interviews and what I'll be doing is, is asking all kinds of healthcare practitioners, doctors, healers of all types, to really share with all of you their experience, why they became healers, what called them what they think about this being a healer thing. Is it, a thing? Who's really healing in this, what they've experienced from their their interaction with clients and patients and what the takeaways and understanding of what the process of healing is all about and the process of life. So that's the essence of what I'm doing. I'm hoping that this will serve also for patients that have issues and are looking for different ways of approaching it. * De-Registered, revoked & retired after 30 years of practice. 1. From MS Diagnosis to Energetic Freedom with Dayna Wylder Manon on The Healers Cafe

    2D AGO

From MS Diagnosis to Energetic Freedom with Dayna Wylder Manon on The Healers Cafe

In this episode of The Healers Cafe Manon speaks with Dayna Wylder, an energy healing practitioner and author, discusses her journey from being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) to reconnecting with her body and innate healing capacity. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dayna-wilder     Highlights from today's episode include:  Gratitude as medicine: She chose to be "grateful before there was anything to be grateful for," using gratitude and mindset as active healing tools. Frequency and choice: We are "antennas to the field," and what we broadcast—fear or love—shapes our health, relationships, and reality. Refusing limiting narratives: You chose to step away from fear-based MS support groups and not identify with a doom-and-gloom prognosis, protecting your mindset and healing path.   ABOUT DAYNA WYLDER: Dayna Wylder is an energy healing practitioner, author, and guide devoted to helping people reconnect with their bodies and rediscover their innate capacity for healing. After years of living in a state of disconnection shaped by trauma, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis — a moment that became not an ending, but an awakening. Unwilling to accept a life defined solely by symptoms or limitations, she began a deep exploration into the mind–body connection, subtle energy, and ancient healing systems. Through this journey, she discovered the profound wisdom of the five koshas — the layers of the human experience described in yogic philosophy — and began to understand that true healing must occur not just in the physical body, but across the energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of being. Her work now blends modern neuroscience, frequency and sound healing, somatic awareness, and biofield tuning with Eastern and Western wisdom traditions. She draws inspiration from pioneers in the fields of longevity, nervous system regulation, and consciousness studies, while grounding her approach in lived experience, intuition, and compassion. Dayna is the author of an upcoming book - Unlearn Dis-ease Relearn Well-being - that shares both her deeply personal story and the practical, integrative tools she used to change her relationship with her body and her diagnosis. Her message is not about "fixing" what is broken, but about restoring communication between the body, mind, and soul. Through private sessions, group sound baths, healing circles, and online teachings, she empowers others to shift from fear into curiosity, from resistance into listening, and from survival into wholeness. Her work is an invitation: to soften, to reconnect, and to awaken the healer within. Core purpose/passion: I am here to offer hope and shift what people believe is possible. My work moves beyond treating illness and into restoring alignment between body, mind, and spirit. Through energy medicine, sound, and conscious living, I support those who feel sick or disconnected in reconnecting with their natural intelligence. Aligned living then becomes the path not just to healing, but to preventing future suffering and expanding human potential. This is not about fixing what's broken — it's about remembering what has always been whole. From Brain Injury to Brushstrokes with Cheri Carandanis Manon on The Healers Cafe

Cheri Carandanis, an abstract painter and former Air Force critical care nurse, shared her journey from pre-med studies to nursing, driven by her desire to balance career and family. She transitioned to the military, specializing in ICU and CCAT teams, and served in Afghanistan post-9/11. After separating from the military, she pursued hospice nursing and earned a master's degree in nursing. In 2019, she suffered two brain injuries, leading to cognitive and vestibular issues, forcing her to retire her nursing license. Through functional neurology and alternative therapies, she recovered significantly, emphasizing the importance of creativity and mindfulness in healing. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/cheri-carandanis  Highlights from today's episode include:  When I paint, I don't have a brain injury." – Abstract art and flow state became a powerful part of her neurological and emotional healing after two brain injuries. "If you've seen one healing, you've seen one healing." – Every healing journey is unique, and creativity, intuition, and somatic work can open paths that conventional medicine alone often can't. "Nothing's really broken; it's just not communicating how it should." – The body often needs a reset, not a label, and approaches like Bowen and other body-centered work help "reboot" the nervous system so healing can happen.   ABOUT CHERI CARANDANIS: Cheri Carandanis is an abstract painter, mixed media artist, and former Air Force Critical Care nurse who knows a thing or two about surviving what she never saw coming. After a traumatic brain injury ended her 25-year nursing career, she turned to art…not as a hobby, but as a lifeline. Now based in Portland, Oregon, Cheri creates raw, emotionally layered work that invites connection and contemplation. Her paintings don't try to explain everything—instead, they hold space for what's been broken, unraveled, and rebuilt. Through texture, color, and bold mark-making, she explores themes of healing, resilience, and the beauty that often shows up after the fall. Her story is one of reinvention, grit, and choosing creativity when everything else falls away. Core purpose/passion: My core purpose is to create space for truth, the kind that lives in the body, not just the story. I'm passionate about art as a place where people can slow down, feel what they've been avoiding, and come back to themselves without being fixed or explained. I care about honest healing, not performative healing, and about beauty that holds weight, not escape. My work invites presence, courage, and staying with what's real. FEB 5

Living Boldly Beyond a Diagnosis with Stacy Scarcella Manon on The Healers Caf

Stacy Scarcella, a former corporate executive, transitioned to a creative entrepreneur after 13 years in fashion, advertising, and technology. Diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome at 25, she faced significant challenges, including legal blindness and potential infertility. Despite a grim prognosis, Stacy pursued self-care, research, and adaptive activities like Zumba and yoga. She emphasized the importance of self-advocacy and resilience. Stacy also works in mental health advocacy, particularly for adolescents, highlighting the need for early intervention and support. Her journey underscores the value of creativity, freedom, and positivity in overcoming health challenges. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/stacy-scarcella    Highlights from today's episode include:  Be your own health advocate and move one step at a time: When she was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome at 25 with a very grim prognosis, Stacy chose not to stay stuck in fear. She did her own research, sought multiple opinions, adjusted her lifestyle, and focused on "What can I do right now and one minute forward?" rather than catastrophizing the future. Create freedom and possibility by redefining your path: Leaving a "boxed-in" corporate career, Stacy built Plaid Pony Productions around freedom: choosing diverse projects, not being tied to one creative partner, and continually pivoting (Zumba, yoga, events, mental health advocacy). Her core mindset  Bedside manner and medical 'fashion' can shape a patient's fate:  Manon highlights how the way a diagnosis is delivered can deeply harm or help a patient. She compares it to her own experience of being told she "needed" a C‑section because of narrow hips, only to safely have a home vaginal birth after seeking many opinions. She stresses that practitioners must be conscious of their language and the current "fashion" in medicine, because patients often meet a diagnosis first as doom and gloom, with very little visible information about alternatives, self-care, and hopeful possibilities.   ABOUT STACY SCARSELLA: For more than two decades, Stacy Scarsella has built a career defined by vision, resilience, and reinvention. A former corporate executive turned creative entrepreneur, Stacy spent over 15 years climbing the ranks in fashion, advertising, and technology working with industry giants such as Armani, Macy's, Talbots, TJX Companies, and Bose. Her career trajectory pointed toward becoming a CMO, but the demands of corporate life, constant travel, long hours, and lack of fulfillment sparked a personal reckoning. In 2015, following a season marked by profound loss and transformation, Stacy traded boardrooms for the beaches of Los Angeles, where a moment of clarity reshaped her entire future. That clarity became Plaid Pony Productions, a full-service production company known for its storytelling integrity, cinematic creativity, and world-class brand activations. From major commercial campaigns to experiential events, Stacy leads her team in producing standout work for global names including Disney, AT&T, and other Fortune 500 companies. Known for her strategic foresight and innate ability to forecast industry shifts, she's built a business that blends artistry with operational precision delivering results that can't be replicated by automation or artificial intelligence. But Stacy's story runs deeper than her professional accomplishments. Diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome at 25 and told she might never have children or live past 40, she defied every prediction. Today, at 43, she's a mother of two, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention causes close to her heart following the loss of her best friend. Her philosophy, "Why not?", defines her approach to both business and life: embracing creativity, curiosity, and courage in the face of uncertainty. Beyond the studio, Stacy is a creative force in every sense an artist, yoga enthusiast, avid gardener, and dual citizen of Italy who finds joy in simple rituals like family dinners and dancing in the kitchen. Through speaking, consulting, and community initiatives, she now helps others humanize their brands in the age of AI, teaching entrepreneurs how to connect authentically and lead with purpose. Her work, both on and off the set, is a testament to her greatest belief: that success is not about control it's about creating a life that feels deeply alive. Core purpose/passion: My philosophy is: "Why not?", and it defines my approach to both business and life: embracing creativity, curiosity, and courage in the face of uncertainty. –  Facebook  |  Website | LinkedIn | Instagram - Stacy | Instagram - PladPony ABOUT MANON BOLLIGER, RBHT, FCAH: As a retired Naturopath 1992-2021, I saw an average of 150 patients per week and have helped people ranging from rural farmers in Nova Scotia to stressed out CEOs in Toronto to tri-athletes here in Vancouver. 6. Updating the Brains Predictions Emotional Resolution with Cedric Bertelli Manon on The Healers Caf

    JAN 28

Updating the Brains Predictions Emotional Resolution with Cedric Bertelli Manon on The Healers Caf

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, speaks to Cedric Bertelli, founder of the Emotional Health Institute, discusses his methodology, Emotional Resolution (EMRS), which addresses emotional imprints through somatic neuroscience. Inspired by his grandfather's resilience post-WWII, Cedric developed EMRS to help individuals resolve emotional patterns by feeling physical sensations without control. He explains that the brain predicts emotions based on past experiences, often rooted in trauma, and EMRS allows these predictions to play out naturally, updating the brain's response.   For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/cedric-bertelli    Highlights from today's episode include:  Emotions are outdated predictions: Debilitating emotions are often outdated predictions from the brain, triggered when current stimuli resemble elements from past traumatic moments. The body then recreates old physical sensations (interoception), even when they're no longer relevant. Resolution by fully feeling sensations (90 seconds) : If a person can safely stay with the raw physical sensations of an emotion—without trying to regulate, fix, or control them—the interoceptive wave naturally completes within about 30–90 seconds, and the brain updates its prediction, so the same stimulus no longer triggers that reaction. Stop building stories; stay with the body: Manon emphasizes the importance of not creating or feeding mental stories about what we feel. By witnessing the emotion innocently and staying with the body's sensations rather than the narrative, we allow real resolution instead of reinforcing the pattern.   ABOUT CEDRIC BERTELLI: Cedric Bertelli is the founder of the Emotional Health Institute and co-developer of Emotional Resolution® & EmRes®, a somatic, neuroscience-based approach for resolving emotional imprints. Before dedicating himself to emotional health, Cedric spent more than a decade in the hospitality industry, including leadership roles with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he developed a deep understanding of human behavior and service. Over the past 15 years, he has trained practitioners across the world, guided thousands of clients, and partnered with researchers at UCLA and UCSF to advance the scientific foundations of EmRes. His work focuses on making emotional healing simple, effective, and accessible so people can live with greater clarity, ease, and resilience. Core purpose/passion: My core purpose is to help people reconnect with their natural capacity to resolve emotional pain. Not to manage it, not to suppress it, and not to build workarounds around it — but to truly resolve it at the physiological level so they can live with more freedom, presence, and ease. –  Facebook |  Instagram |  Website | LinkedIn | YouTube |   ABOUT MANON BOLLIGER, RBHT, FCAH: As a retired Naturopath 1992-2021, I saw an average of 150 patients per week and have helped people ranging from rural farmers in Nova Scotia to stressed out CEOs in Toronto to tri-athletes here in Vancouver. Sovereignty in Love- Knowing When to Stay or Leave with Ken Blackman Manon on The Healers Caf

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, speaks to Ken Blackman who discusses the dynamics of breakups, highlighting that anxiously attached individuals often initiate them. Blackman advocates for building relationships that provide mutual support, especially during challenging times, to foster long-term happiness and health. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/ken-blackman    Highlights from today's episode include:  Ken explains Chemistry vs. intimacy: A great relationship needs both spark and the safety to be fully yourself, not constantly "protecting the vibe." Ken explains Healthy breakup: A loving split sounds like "I see you, I get what you need, it's valid—but it's outside my range," with mutual respect, grief, and relief. Manon explains Real freedom: What feels most free is not many partners, but being completely yourself—"weirdness" and all—with one person who truly gets you.   ABOUT KEN BLACKMAN: A former Apple engineer turned relationship mindset coach and intimacy educator, Ken Blackman is currently celebrating his 25th year helping couples co-create a thriving, fulfilling life partnership and a gourmet love life. His work has garnered mentions in Business Insider, Playboy, Tim Ferriss's 4-Hour series, Cosmopolitan, and elsewhere. He's a regular featured contributor to The Good Men Project, Better Humans, and his own Medium publication, The Craft of Intimate Coupledom. Core purpose/passion: I think my superpower as a relationship coach is to be a translator and help them see and understand each other. I tend to listen and ask, listen and ask, until I feel like I see the world through one partner's eyes. Then I do the same with the other partner, listen and ask until I see the world through their eyes. Then I help them see each other. Sometimes translation; is just saying to one partner exactly what I heard the other say, but as though I'm speaking to the most important, honorable person in the world, whom I have the highest regard for. –  Facebook |  Instagram |  Medium  |  Website |  BlueSky | Threads    ABOUT MANON BOLLIGER, RBHT, FCAH: As a retired Naturopath 1992-2021, I saw an average of 150 patients per week and have helped people ranging from rural farmers in Nova Scotia to stressed out CEOs in Toronto to tri-athletes here in Vancouver. From Forcing Health to Nervous System Healing with Mitch Webb Manon on The Healers Caf

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, speaks to health coach and nervous system expert Mitch Webb who shares his powerful journey from biohacking and forcing his body to heal, to embracing trauma-informed, somatic, and nervous system-based healing. Discover how shifting from survival mode to self-trust and gentle awareness can transform chronic symptoms and expand your capacity for life. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/mitch-webb     Highlights from today's episode include:  Force vs. healing: Mitch describes how intense biohacking, strict diets, and "overwhelming force" helped only temporarily—true, sustainable healing began when he addressed unresolved trauma and his nervous system. Sensitization & safety: Mitch explains sensitization (chronic hyper-vigilance, fear, and shrinking life) and how building safety, capacity, and self-trust through somatic and nervous system work allowed his symptoms to ease and his life to expand. Bowen as a doorway to safety: Manon highlights how Bowen therapy can gently guide the body out of constant sympathetic overdrive, helping people slow down, become observers of their physical experience, and open another doorway into the deeper healing process.   ABOUT MITCH WEBB: Mitch Webb is a health coach and nervous system expert who helps clients heal from the inside out. He works one-on-one with people dealing with gut issues, anxiety, autoimmune symptoms, fatigue, burnout, and other chronic conditions that haven't resolved through conventional approaches. Mitch blends functional health principles with deep nervous system work to get to the root cause—so healing isn't just a quick fix, it's sustainable. His approach is trauma-informed, body-based, and tailored to the individual. If you're ready to feel like yourself again, Mitch helps you get there. About
