History: Tom Assheton and James Jackson explore the past. Man has led a bloody charge through the millennia, and we have a good look at why. Why so violent. What happened to bring about these bloody events. We discuss, we interview, and we explain how it is that history so often explodes into violence.
But hey, it's not all doom and gloom: we have dogs in action, mad dictators, and brave and unsung heroes. We have Bloody Battles, Bloody Objects and some shorter Bloody Bites. History is our hinterland, the past that influences our present and future.
It will be Bloody, it will be Violent ... so it goes

Bloody, violent and always interesting!
Tom and Jamie do a great job condensing history and going into detail on all sorts of military themes. Well worth listening to.
Enough of the Ukraine!!
I genuinely and truly love love love this podcast! Many a 12 hour day I have listened to back to back episodes from the Ottomans and White Slavery to even your most recent discussions on pirates and their mythology. Each has brought great news and knowledge to my ears which I have never heard before. But as an American or (cousin from across the sea as some may say) we have enough going on in the news. This podcast is NOT THE NEWS. Ukraine is a horrible and horrendous conflict, but 1-2 hours of complaining about the conflict and cheap insults of Russians is not only lazy content creation, but is just plain prejudice.
Informative and engaging
Thank you for condensing interesting history in an engaging way!
