Good stuff
This is a wonderful podcast on the history of a little known country at the crossroads of multiple empires throughout time. The host’s enthusiasm is infectious.
I was rooting for this podcast, but…
Credit for trying, but I couldn’t get into it. Narrative is hard to follow, and the host is too pedantic. Information seems fine (and I applaud the effort in gathering it), but the podcast is just not enjoyable. History podcasts are always worse at the beginning than what they become, but the starting point here is too low. Discussion of Jason and the Argonauts was especially hard to listen to. If it wasn’t the distracting “like” and “um” every other word, it was the indulgent virtue signaling when dunking on Indian Jones.
Love Learning History
Even if your not a history lover you’ll love listening to the History of Georgia? Wait or Sack-a-something-vello? Yep that’s right, learn everything about the heart of Caucasia, you never knew you didn’t know.
You’ll get a bit of myth, storytelling, culture and history. As well as some really great, “wait-what-in-world?” moments. Love history or learn to love it with a host that makes it feel like your hanging with friends.
