Not Another Gay Movie ?
This week me and David will be watching "Another Gay movie", a 2006 American teen comedy film directed by Todd Stephens. The film follows four gay friends, Andy, Nico, Jarod, and Griff, as they embark on a mission to lose their virginity before their high school graduation.
The film is a parody of typical teen comedies, and it includes various references to classic films such as "American Pie" and "Porky's." However, unlike those films, the main characters in "Another Gay Movie" are openly gay and have to navigate the challenges that come with being out and proud.
Throughout the film, the four friends attempt to lose their virginity in various ways and Along the way, they encounter several hilarious and absurd situations.
The film also tackles important themes such as body image issues, the pressure to conform to societal expectations, and the importance of self-acceptance.
So did we love it or hate it? Listen to find out. -
Giorgino
In the 1918 war-stricken Giorgio Volli returns to the orphanage where he had been working with children for a while. When arriving he finds out that the tragedy had happened in the house – the wife of the orphanage owner had committed suicide. He couldn't manage to save her. Soon after, it was revealed that the house is almost empty and abandoned, and the children died under unclear circumstances, only one girl named Catherine survived. Giorgio starts to investigate what had happened. Through mysteries and hidden truth, he finds out that the orphanage owner, Doctor Degrace, could be involved in psychiatric experiments with children, which might lead to a tragedy. His daughter – Catherine – is autistic, but she is the only witness of life and death of children; thus, she became a key person for Giorgio to unriddle mysteries of Dr. Degrace.

Eve's Bayou A Southern Gothic Tale
“The summer I killed my father, I was ten years old . . .” So begins
Kasi Lemmons’s spellbinding feature debut, an evocative journey into the
maze of memory, steeped in fragrant southern-gothic atmosphere. In
1960s Louisiana, a young girl (Jurnee Smollett) sees her well-to-do
family unravel in the wake of the infidelities of her charming father
(Samuel L. Jackson)—setting in motion a series of deceptions and
betrayals that will upend her world and challenge her understanding of
reality. Rooted in Creole history, folklore, and mysticism, Eve’s Bayou
is a scintillating showcase for a powerhouse ensemble of Black
actresses—including Lynn Whitfield, Debbi Morgan, and the legendary
Diahann Carroll as a voodoo priestess—as well as a profoundly cathartic
exploration of trauma, forgiveness, and the elusive nature of truth.
