Growing up, I received pretty much no education for being with myself or others through challenging emotions. As a man, I was conditioned to shut emotions down and not speak about them and this manifested in all sorts of unhealthy ways.
This podcast is providing that education through wonderful interviews and experiential tools. Emily is a terrific host and clearly passionate about having this conversation, and I think the world is in dire need of it. Anxiety, depression, pharmaceuticals, suicide, and addiction all seem to be as prevalent as ever and I see our current lack of quality education around processing emotions in a healthy way to be one of our most detrimental societal problems today. Indeed, I think we as humans stand to benefit a great deal from learning to be there more for ourselves and others emotionally.
I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough. Thank you, Emily, for doing this work!
