Feeling full podcast is transformational

The content of this podcast is superb. Each time, I'm inspired. Why? Because I was told I was too fat at age 13 and sent to weight watchers. I was 5'4" and weighed 120. I felt so much shame. Over time I gained weight and lost it. For a good amount of time I maintained my weight. I had moved to Chicago from California. I had no car so I took public transit and rode my bike everywhere. I also felt an enormous pressure to be thin evaporate. I was no longer near my parents snd no longer on California. These two factors, one psychological and one physical, lead to an ease about my body and self perception that naturally kept me in shape and at a happy weight. Then I moved back to California and started a PhD program. I got a car. I drove more. I moved to a city that discourages pedestrians. I started a new job as a high school teacher that kept me up at night and exhausted me emotionally and physically. I gained weight. Then I hit 50. My metabolism changed. Then COVID. None of my previous methods of weight loss worked any longer. Even my mindfulness training and coach training. But Mordechai's approach and the guests in his podcast dive deeper into what actually works for people whose efforts to lose weight are met with stubborn rejection, either by the body or the will. Rather than blame the body or the will, speakers on this show are much more wise, curious and brilliant. The latest podcast as of today is from Marc David. I listened twice. His approach is for me like finding a lost key to a mysterious golden box that has been waiting for me to open it and learn how to free myself. More than an aha moment, I now see an emergent blueprint for my journey moving forward and it resonates fully with who I am. There is no 'yes, but' here. Gratitude to you, Mordechai snd to Marc David. I am complete.

Valuable content from relatable people

This is a fantastic podcast for people looking to incorporate a new level of wellness into their lifestyle and fitness journey. Each episode provides valuable discussion far beyond food and into the motivations, decisions, habits, and even psychology of what drives the decisions we make related to food, exercise, and our own self perception. As someone whose been on a “weight loss struggle” for decades and with ongoing body image struggles, even when quite fit, this is the first podcast that speaks directly to me in a completely relatable and productive way. Highly recommend!
