Leading vs. Delegating vs. Doing
One thing I see happening across the women-led companies I work with is that they have reached a place where they realize they can’t manage all of the people anymore so they have to start filling some leadership or management roles, either internally or externally. And what is happening when they fill these roles is that they are finding that they are not getting the desired effect and the work still isn’t getting done. This week’s episode 92 of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries is about leading vs. delegating vs. doing!
Have you ever felt like you were WAY too busy, stressed out, burnt out, and overwhelmed, so you were advised to delegate some tasks to take things off your plate and free up some time? Except, maybe it didn't work. If getting out of the day-to-day in your business was as simple as hiring more people, then why are you still feeling overwhelmed and burned out? You are not alone! Sometimes, simply delegating tasks doesn’t work and instead shifts your workload from “doing” to “managing.”
I invite you to use the exercise that our own C-Suite clients use to take the first step in turning your team into a well-oiled, self-managed machine- and get you out of the delegation catch-22. Download the exercise here to get started!
In this episode of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries, I’m sharing how you can pinpoint why things aren’t getting done in your business and actionable steps you can take right now to transition your leadership team from delegating and doing into leading and growing. Some of the things I cover in this episode are:
Celebrating Emily Soloby, host of the Hazard Girls podcast, co-owner of AAA School of Trucking, recipient of the 2021 EWI Empowering Woman of the Year award and so much more for creating Juno Jones, a shoe line that meets both safety and style standards. Signs your leadership team is delegating instead of leading. Why the work your team is doing should be outcome-based instead of task-based.On my mind outside of business: My bucket list hiking trip to Utah I encourage you to take a look at the people who are in those elevated roles in your business and ask yourself are they leading, or are they delegating or simply doing the tasks themselves. Because ultimately, we need our leaders to be leading.

Why I Don't Drink the Kool-Aid (about EOS) [Rerelease]
There was a point in time where it clicked for me that the entrepreneurial operating system (EOS) was not geared toward the women entrepreneurs who are shouldering the home responsibilities while running their business, but rather to the male counterpart who are encouraged to work long hours and travel away from home. That’s why episode 91 of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries is about why I don’t drink the Kool-Aid (in regards to EOS)!
Some of the things I cover in this episode are:
Celebrating Melissa Wirt, founder of Latched Mama for creating breastfeeding safe clothing and for supporting working moms before and during the pandemic. Where the EOS system lacks in taking account the wats in which women specifically need to approach and run their business. How I created my business to fill the gaps and give women entrepreneurs the flexibility they require. How I approach programs and frameworks within my own business and with my clients. What I actually like from EOS and what i think they are still missing.CONNECT WITH CASEY GROMER:

How to Build a Team Who "Gets It"
I cannot stress enough how important it is to bring the right people into your business that understand the expectations of the role they are being hired for. It can be incredibly frustrating and a waste of time when you hire someone who waits around for their hand to be held and to be told what to do. This week’s episode 90 of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries is about how to build a team who “gets it.”
In this episode of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries, I’m sharing the importance of building a team that understands and has the ability to own their role and actionable steps you can take right now to find the right people that are the right fit. Some of the things I cover in this episode are:
Celebrating Whole30’s Melissa Urban for her new book, The Book of Boundaries, which encourages people to set and hold their own boundaries so they can set the limits that will set them free. What it looks like when you hire someone that understands the expectations of their role. How hiring someone who is able to own their role will help your business grow and succeed. My framework for finding the gaps in your business and filling those gaps with the right candidates. My thoughts on reframing how we view neurotypical thinkers and leveraging their creative minds to come up with new ideas and solutions in business. When you have a team who “gets it” they don’t need to be told what to do because they already know what to do.
