FM011: Hannah Holland

FM010: Miro Sundaymusiq*

Miro modestly describes himself as “a simple DJ playing records because of a long-term habit.” Regularly DJing alongside good friend Jane Fitz, his own SundayMusiq* label/night has recently thrown a string of Sunday parties, currently held at Pickle Factory. FM009: Golesworthy

Having cut his teeth as a DJ in the richly musical city of Bristol, Golesworthy founded his party Housework alongside Shanti Celeste, with Gramrcy and Daisy Moon joining later. A group who have taken their parties to various venues including the much loved and missed Motorcycle Showroom. Now based in London and co-running Groove Points, an infrequent party in Brixton alongside a monthly radio show on KMAH Radio, we're very happy to have Golesworthy back at Field Maneuvers this year. FM008: Aidy West

Aidy has been DJing since 1989 playing for the love of it with his carefully chosen and blended selections. House music played the right way. Keeps busy running one of world's best sources for underground music, Vinyl Underground in Northampton and has been popping up at a few select underground parties as well as his regular appearance in the Field Moves tent. A few word from the man himself about his mix: "Some new productions have been inspiring me recently so this mix is made up of mainly new stuff and a few forthcoming goodies; plus some old gems out of the bag. Grabbed a chrome cassette as computers always seem to fail, annoyingly it was a 46 minute one (forgot about those!) so its spliced together from a couple of tapes..." Back for our first mix in the FM podcast series is Matt Pond. And he is going to be a tough act to follow... Matt Pond's radio show Deepsystems earnt him a cult following on the digital airwaves playing an array of jazzy electronic numbers as well as unheard gems. FM15 welcomed Tasha back into our fold. She's the founder of Neighbourhood, a regular night at Dance Tunnel which consistently books some of the best names in techno. FM004: Violet

Violet is a Portuguese producer and DJ based in London. She was part of RMBA 2008 and since debuting via Wicked Bass Records, Violet's music has been championed by the likes of Matias Aguayo, Snuff Crew and Phillip Sherburne. Last year she joined the Snuff Trax roster, started D55, a record label with her partner Photonz, and was also invited by Matias Aguayo to participate in his album's cover versions project released on Cómeme. She releases regularly on One Eyed Jacks and last March her cover version of Underground Resistance's classic "Transition", with an all-girl squad (featuring A.M.O.R., Nightwave, Nancy Whang, Mamacita, Coco Solid) of vocal collaborations, caught the attention of the Underground Resistance crew. Full of 808s and up-front techno, plus a healthy pinch of X-rated vocals and post-punk, this is a high energy mix perfect for our dirty little rave. FM002: Ben Sims presents Versions Galore

The Ben Sims we know today is renowned worldwide as one of the best techno DJs. Catch him live or on his regular NTS show 'Run It Red' and his trademark techno sets are a dynamic mix of pure intensity and knowledgable groove. Growing up in and around London's rich culturally mixed music scene he has played and partied through hip hop, house and hardcore, so it should be no surprise that he's also got a deep love of roots too. Over to Ben to tell you a little about the mix: "Ahead of my alternative Roots set at Field Maneuvres, I've put together a selection of some of my favourite versions, loosely blended with authentic sound system fx and sirens. Most are from 30+ year old 45's but there's a few LP tracks too plus a couple of dubplate-only cuts that were never officially released. Many were Jah Shaka power plays for years and staples of his sets in the late 80's, early 90's when I first started getting into Roots Reggae properly and going to ‘Dances’. I tend to favour the uncompromising 'Warrior Style' or 'King David Style' that Shaka championed, so this is a session of seriously bass-heavy material that brings back many happy memories for me, but also a selection I think anyone with even a passing interest in Reggae or Black Dance Music in general can appreciate. FM001: MermaidS

Field Maneuvers is proud to announce that our very first podcast comes from the mighty MermaidS. The FM organisers go way back with the Glasgow duo and when we challenged them to play the closing set of 2014 - after headliner Move D no less - they rose to the occasion with the most uplifting conclusion to proceedings. With strong undertones of disco and funk, the DJ duo mix sounds of the past with the present to make some of the most laid-back yet dancefloor-ready grooves. Levon Vincent, Jackmaster and Moxie all count themselves as fans.
