As a doctor, you spent decades in school to get to where you are. Unfortunately, during all those years in medical school and residency, you probably didn't receive a financial education. But, not to worry. That’s where I come in. Think of this podcast as your financial residency without the long hours and sleepless nights! I will guide you through a financial education resulting in money confidence and clarity in this critical aspect of your life. You’ll understand how you make money, how you spend money, how your hard-earned money can work for you, and how to protect yourself and your family. I have witnessed residents and fellows bombarded by life and disability insurance salesmen and other “investment” pitches that are not in their best interest. You didn’t receive any formal financial education in your decades of medical training, so how are you supposed to know the good financial advisors from the bad? This podcast will help with that. Remember, it’s ok to not know the difference between a ROTH IRA and a 403b or which 529 plan is best. This podcast will simplify highly complex concepts and translate industry jargon into plain English. Are you ready to take action and make smarter, more informed financial decisions? Great - let's do this! Let your financial residency begin.

Healthy Cashflow = Getting Rid of Monthly Payments

Healthy Cashflow = Getting Rid of Monthly Payments

With Han and Leia’s cashflow as healthy as it is, there’s no reason to keep cheap debt. No car payment, no personal loans, no credit cards… they really have the ability to pay them off more quickly and not accumulate interest over decades of time. In this show, Kayse and I light saber the heck out of that concept.

    Hope Is Not a Strategy

    Hope Is Not a Strategy

The word hope sounds great, doesn’t it? Even though hope is awesome to have, it doesn’t drive the action behind completing a goal. Action is what we do and it’s what we don’t do, but happiness, fear, and the topic of this show, hope… are all feelings.
Feelings, while amazing at constructing sporadic follow-through, promote a lack of focus. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Katrina Ubell MD of the Weight Loss for Busy Physicians Podcast, charts the course for awareness so that we can use action (and not hope) for tapping our financial goal power!

But before reaching that milestone, their student debt is a matter for discussion. Kayse and I address creating a PSLF side fund to reduce their debt and how it impacts their desire to purchase a home.

You Can Only Assign Each Dollar One Job

    “We’ll be there for youuu.” ♫ ♬
The mantra for our friends Chandler and Monica is that personal finance is personal. Considering that they have a brand-new baby introduced into their financial priorities, it’s uber important to recognize that they can only assign each dollar one job. What jobs? Investing and saving for their kiddo’s college are just a couple Kayse and I suggest. Here’s what else...

Dangerous podcast

I just listened to the physician mortgage podcast and the amount of BLATANTLY inaccurate information is unreal. Please do no speak about topics you are unfamiliar with.

Can’t get a doctor loan on condos - false
Higher rates than conventional - false
Only adjustable rates - false

Could go on and on. So sloppy.
