    As a freshman in high school, I got cut from two showcase teams. All of my friends made the teams. I didn't. At the time, I thought baseball was trying to tell me who I was. I felt embarrassed, frustrated, and like I wasn't good enough. But looking back, getting cut wasn't defining me—it was developing me. In this episode of Find It Within, I share one of the toughest moments of my athletic journey and the lessons it taught me about confidence, failure, identity, and resilience. We discuss: • What athletes really feel after rejection • Why so many athletes tie their identity to performance • How parents can help their athletes process disappointment • The difference between failure and being a failure • How confidence is built through adversity One of the biggest lessons I learned: Failure and success are on the same road. Failure is simply an earlier exit. Too many athletes quit at the first exit without realizing success may have only been a few miles farther down the road.
