Be Cautious of Impulses - Find The Line

Life moves pretty fast and if we don't pause to take a look around once in a while, we'll miss it. We’ve all felt it—the sudden urge to act, speak, or move before we’ve even thought it through. In the moment, it feels urgent. Real. Like it has to happen now. But here’s the truth: impulses are just like motivation… they fade. In this episode, I break down: What impulses really are (and why our brains create them)Why most impulses are fueled by fear, not clarityThe burden and blessing of a curious mind—and how it can pull you off track if you’re not carefulHow presence and waiting turn reaction into wisdomIf you’ve ever felt restless, easily distracted, or stuck chasing every new idea, this conversation is for you. Verse of the week: “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” - James 1:19 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. How To Navigate Being Told "No" - Find The Line

We all know this email... "Unfortunately, we are moving forward with OTHER candidates." Why does that hurt so much? Why is it so frustrating? Rejection hurts. Especially when you’re already walking through a season of instability, fear, or uncertainty. One closed door can feel like confirmation of your worst doubts: I’m not good enough. I don’t belong here. I’m a fraud. Verse of The Week: "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:12-14 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. "Falling Behind" is a Blatant Lie - Find The Line

Ever feel like you're stuck while everyone else is sprinting ahead? This episode is your reminder that being stuck doesn’t mean you’re behind—it means you're in the middle of building something that actually lasts. We break down the silent season that no one talks about—the in-between moment when progress isn’t flashy, and the foundation feels invisible. But that’s the part that matters most. Verse of the Week:"See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation..." - Isaiah 28:16 This episode will challenge your perspective and remind you that your foundation matters more than your followers, and your pace doesn’t have to match theirs. 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Why Men Struggle With Body Dysmorphia | Coach Tom Hobbs - Find The Line

"When we do the work to change the story and start seeing ourselves differently and start seeking evidence to support the new story, then the BODY DYSMORPHIA loses it's grip. It doesn't have a purpose anymore." In this raw and powerful conversation, I sit down with Coach Tom Hobbs to explore something that isn’t talked about enough — male body dysmorphia. We unpack where it starts, why it’s so common (especially in performance-driven spaces like fitness), and how social media, comparison, and silence keep men trapped in toxic thought patterns about their bodies. Coach Tom shares what helped him shift his identity from shame and insecurity to grounded self-respect — and how healing your inner world is the path to changing your outer one. We jump into... 🏔️ Root cause healing 🏔️ Binge eating 🏔️ Basic psychology needed to grow 🏔️ Current plagues infecting young men 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Suppressed Anger Is Silent Destruction - Find The Line

Swallowing emotions doesn’t solve the issue. You can’t ever fully run away from any emotion — especially anger. Anger is the jacket for what you’re really feeling inside — fear, hurt, envy, shame — but when you tell yourself “I’m fine” and refuse to address it, you shut down instead of growing through it. The problem? What you bottle up always finds a way out — usually in the moments and relationships that matter most. Verse of the week: “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”  — James 1:19–20 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Your Friends Are Your Friends For A Reason - Find The Line

Sometimes it's the silent actions that you think are "normal" and "humble" that lead to the most conflict. It takes stepping back to realize that putting everything on the table is what builds real unity. I used to believe that staying quiet, swallowing my emotions, and never putting my real struggles on the table made me a good friend. Turns out, it just made me cold — and alone. If you’ve ever wondered why your friendships feel surface-level, this is your reminder that you set the depth. Real camaraderie is built when you lay it all on the table — the good, the messy, the awkward. Don’t let your friendships slip away because you’re scared to be known. Be the one who goes first. Verse of the week: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”  — Proverbs 27:17 🏔️📝 Download your own Find Your Line Daily Check-In Journal Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Fear Is A Tool - Find The Line

Fear is a silent guardian. It keeps us honest, alert, and reminds us that we actually care about something. Somewhere along the way, fear got a bad rap. We’re told that fear makes you weak. That if you’re scared, you’re not cut out for it.But the truth is, fear shows up when you’re standing on the edge of something that matters. It’s not about never feeling fear — it’s about learning how to use it as fuel, instead of letting it paralyze you. In this episode, I talk about why we need fear, how to reframe it, and how facing the thing that makes you uncomfortable can actually grow your confidence, your purpose, and your faith. Fear can break you down — or it can build you up.It’s your choice which way you run. Verse of the week: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10 Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Teach Yourself Everything and Learn How To Learn - Find Your Rhythm

There’s something powerful about diving into something brand new—without the instruction manual. I was always told there was only one right way to learn and master a skill… but that never really worked for me. I struggled to keep up, felt behind, and wondered if I just wasn’t wired for it. But the truth? I learn best by doing. Trial, error, and figuring it out with my hands. That’s how I taught myself guitar. That’s how I started multiple businesses. That’s even how I changed a timing belt on a '98 Toyota 4Runner… but we’ll save that story for another time. In this episode, I’m talking about the freedom that comes from teaching yourself, the importance of figuring out how you learn, and why asking for help doesn’t make you weak—it makes you stronger. Because no matter how you learn, you’re not alone. Verse of the week: "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance- for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise." - Proverbs 1:5-6 Welcome to the Find The Line podcast. Why Do Men Struggle With Purpose? - Find The Line

It seems like more and more young men today are silently struggling with one question: “What is my purpose?” It’s a question that plagues, paralyzes, and pressures us. We scroll, compare, drift, and doubt—wondering if we’re doing enough, being enough, or headed in the right direction. In this first episode, I talk about what it means to Find The Line—to stop waiting for clarity and start creating it through action, humility, and faith. This is a raw conversation about testing your limits, waking up your potential, and stepping into growth—even when you're unsure. Because your purpose won’t show up with a roadmap—it’ll show up in the work, in the trying, in the fear, and in the fight. Verse of the week: “A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.” — Ecclesiastes 7:1 Welcome to the Find The Line podcast.
