Why Passionate Career Shifts Lead to Greater Fulfillment

Hello and welcome to My Golden Life! I'm your host Lisa Kneller and today we're going to look at Why Passionate Career Shifts Lead to Greater Fulfillment. I've had my own career shift in the past few years and I'm excited to talk about this subject with my special guests Amy and Nancy Harrington from The Passionistas Project. Let me tell you a little about these two special gals.  Sisters Amy and Nancy Harrington founded The Passionistas Project out of a deep desire to empower women around the world. They are eager to share their knowledge about building community, creating safe spaces for women, the power of storytelling, and navigating professional transitions. Both co-founders walked away from high-profile jobs in Hollywood to work together. Amy was the VP of Post Production & Visual Effects for all feature films at WarnerBros, working on movies like the Harry Potter and the Matrix franchises. Nancy left the ad agency where she created Oscar campaigns for Miramax. Their career as celebrity interviewers has included chats with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin, Laverne Cox, Carol Burnett, and more. Now through their global Passionistas Project Sisterhood, podcast and Power of Passionistas summit, they strive to inspire women to follow their passions and join forces in the fight for equality for all. Decluttering for an Organized Mind and Life

This episode is about organizing your life so you have more space in your mind to function in the healthiest way. My guest is Leslie Hawkenson and she specializes in helping people declutter and get organized. Leslie is an Arizona native and grew up in a small town in the White Mountains. Her childhood was full of playing outdoors, driving tractors, riding horses, playing sports, music and learning how to create her own fun. After high school she moved to Phoenix Az to go to college and study Piano Performance. She quickly remembered how terrifying performing was and decided to study Music Education instead. Leslie completed two years of the music program before getting married and focusing on her family. She taught piano lessons for 20 years while raising their four children. At 36 she decided to go back to school and graduated from ASU at 39 with degrees in Communication and Human & Family Studies. She has always loved minimalism and organization and was active in these practices before she even had a name for them. Today she owns her own business, Intentionally Organized, and is very fulfilled by her work. She helps clients get their homes and business in order so that they can live their best lives. Leslie would like to challenge listeners to really contemplate what they want their life to look like and what they can do to their environment to support those goals.
