How to Have More Fun? Unblock Your “Fun Chakra.”

Have you ever wondered why having fun feels effortless during some seasons of life—and nearly impossible during others? Maybe you feel tired, stressed or disconnected. Perhaps you have slipped into survival mode and no longer feel like the vibrant, playful version of yourself you remember. But what if your struggle to experience joy has less to do with your schedule—and more to do with your energy? In this episode of the Finding Fun Experiment Podcast, Treena Innes sits down with Amy Lipton, Reiki Master, teacher, sound bath practitioner and spiritual mentor, to explore the surprising connection between your chakras and your ability to experience pleasure, creativity, playfulness and aliveness. Amy introduces us to the sacral chakra, often associated with creativity, pleasure, passion and joy—otherwise known in this conversation as your “fun zone.” Even when the chakra world feels a little “woo-woo,” the practices in this episode are simple: listen to your body, move your energy, spend time in nature and notice what makes you feel alive. Why adults become professional fun postponers How responsibility and conditioning can disconnect women from play The connection between the sacral chakra, creativity, pleasure and joy Amy Lipton is a Reiki Master, teacher, sound bath practitioner and spiritual mentor who loves helping people explore the lighter, more playful side of spiritual wellness. Why We Stop Playing and Having Fun With Friends—and How to Start Again

🎧 This listen if for you, if you want to have more fun with your friends. How many times have you said: “We really need to get together.” “Let’s plan something soon.” “I miss you—it has been way too long.” And then…nothing happens. Weeks become months. Months become years. One day, you are scrolling through old photos and remembering the dance parties, camping trips, beach bonfires, coffee dates, yoga classes, farmers’ markets, ballgames and belly laughs you used to share with your friends. You miss those moments—and you miss how they made you feel. Life gets busy. Calendars fill with work, errands, appointments and responsibilities. Time with friends can start to feel like a luxury instead of an essential part of our health and happiness. But growing older is not what steals our fun. It is allowing friendship, laughter and play to continuously fall to the bottom of the list that can make us feel old, disconnected and depleted. In this episode of the Finding Fun Experiment Podcast, Treena shares why spending time having fun with friends is one of the healthiest habits we can build—and three simple ways to make friendship fun a regular part of life again. Why friendship and fun deserve a protected place on your calendar Why we protect appointments like haircuts but easily cancel time with friends Three practical strategies to stop saying, “We need to get together,” and actually make it happen

How to have more FUN and JOY without caring what people think.

Do you ever feel guilty for having fun? Or feeling joy? Like the moment you slow down, or do something just for you… a voice pops up: “What will people think?” In this episode I dive into one of the biggest barriers with Kim Strobel, Happiness Coach --- to living a vibrant, energized life with guilt around joy and fun. Many women are conditioned to put others first—family, work, responsibilities—while their own joy quietly slips to the bottom of the list. This episode explores the deeper reasons behind that guilt, including: Social expectations around productivity and responsibilityFear of judgment or being seen as “too much”The pressure to always be doing, giving, or achievingThese patterns don’t just affect your happiness—they slowly drain your energy, creativity, and connection to yourself. A large portion of your long-term happiness is influenced by your daily habits and choices—not just your circumstances. That means: ✨ You can train yourself to experience more joy ✨ You can rebuild your relationship with fun ✨ You can shift from guilt to permission And when you do, the benefits are real: Lower stress and burnoutMore energy and motivationBetter mood and resilienceThis episode is your reminder: 👉 You don’t need to wait for vacation 👉 You don’t need permission You can start now. Guilt doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you’re doing something unfamiliar. When you begin prioritizing yourself, your brain resists because it’s new—not because it’s bad. Instead of waiting for guilt to disappear: 👉 Notice it 👉 Allow it 👉 And choose joy and fun anyway This is how you retrain your brain and create new patterns. Instead of asking: “What should I be doing?” Ask: 👉 “How do I want to feel today?” Energized? Calm? Playful? Free? Then take one small action that supports that feeling. This shift moves you from: ❌ Obligation → ✅ Intention ❌ Guilt → ✅ Ownership ❌ Burnout → ✅ Balance 🎧 If this episode touched you, share it with a friend who needs permission to stop feeling guilty and start living more fully.
