    15 - UPOU Q&A | My DCS & MIS Journey

In this UPOU Q&A, I’m sharing an update on my journey from the Diploma in Computer Science (DCS) to the Master of Information Systems (MIS). I actually graduated from DCS almost a year ago, but I never got around to making an update. Now that I’ve started my first semester in MIS, I thought this would be a good time to answer some questions about the whole experience. I talk about why I took DCS, why I chose UP Open University, what I found challenging, whether I feel like DCS prepared me for MIS, and how MIS feels different from DCS so far. I also share my thoughts on formal education vs. self-study, transitioning into tech without an IT background, and whether I think the DCS → MIS path is worth it. I’m still very early in my MIS journey, so this is really just where I am at the moment. Maybe I’ll have a different answer once I finish the program. 😅 If you’re considering UPOU, DCS, MIS, or a similar path, I hope this gives you a better idea of what the experience has been like for me.

14 - Too Young to Start? Think Again.

Ever feel like you need to earn the right to start? Like you have to wait until you're older, more experienced, more "qualified" before you go for it? In this Season 3 opener, I'm taking you back to when I was 21 years old, commuting from Pasig to Batangas to teach a review class for 50 government employees, most of them old enough to be my parents. I was terrified. They weren't. And what I learned that day changed how I've said yes to opportunities ever since. We'll talk about imposter syndrome, the quiet voice that convinces us we don't belong in the room, and the story of Jeremiah, a young man God called before he was even born, who tried to talk his way out of it with the same excuse a lot of us use: "I'm too young." If you've ever hesitated to start something because you didn't feel ready yet, this one's for you. 🎙️ Finding Nami — Lost & Found in the Art of Lifelong Learning
