This author/narrator uses this podcast as a creative avenue to capture historical data about fire disasters. A way to expand our knowledge and minds to natural disasters and the part they play.

I commute between Illinois and Indiana each week, and I love listening to “Fire!” as I drive. Ryan has crafted an extremely thoughtful and insightful podcast that has truly opened my eyes to the severity of industrial fires throughout our country’s history and the dire need of strong regulations in place for the safety of workers and consumers alike. I strongly recommend listening to this podcast!

With the common thread of industrial fires, he stitches together each event, revealing not only their commonalities, but continually uncovering layers of injustice that undergird each event, providing a deeper, more nuanced perspective on each incident, while also providing hope for how tragedy has led to ongoing reform.
