We are unwell thanks to the release of Taylor Swift's album Red (Taylor's Version) and we needed to talk about it. In our first ever minisode we dish on our immediate reactions after watching the accompanying All Too Well: The Short Film. We hypothesize about which re-release is coming up next, what Jake Gyllenhaal may be up to right now, and who Taylor should feature on her next From The Vault songs.

Engaging

As someone who is apart of the Harry Styles and One Direction fandom for 10+ years now, I can totally understand where Grace is coming from with her phenomenal story with Harry. To be in such empowering fandoms of every One Direction member, is wild in itself. Grace has not just an iconic coming-out story, but a heartfelt vulnerable story so personal to her, and Harry. How she was able to connect and form a bond with Harry, is phenomenal. Definitely love this episode.

So Funny

These episodes (especially the second one) had me laughing the whole way through. I spent my teenage years in different fandoms, but something about the crazy funny stuff we did to try to meet or get our fav’s attention is so universal. Obviously we can’t go to concerts right now, but as I’ve grown up and had to spend more time on my career, my concert-going has unfortunately dwindled from what it used to be anyway (multiple shows a month or sometimes even in a week, and almost always queuing for barrier). But this podcast takes me right back to those years—the whole vibe and tone feels exactly like the conversations you’d have with other superfans you'd meet at the front of the line 8 hours before doors. The other main thing I like is that the hosts really valid the culture of being a superfan (especially of boy bands) which is so mocked in larger culture. I think it’s really important for those kinds of fans to hear!
