Freedom from Alcohol Addition with the Elsenraths

Freedom from Alcohol Addition with the Elsenraths

Stephen Elsenrath wrestled with a demon of alcohol addiction. His wife struggled with the guilt. Nevertheless, the two still found a way to serve faithfully at their church as this wave of darkness tried to overtake their lives. No one knew. As Stephen puts it, "I think that's a gap we have in the Church world: it's everything that's visual. Meanwhile, people are dying inside." Stephen found freedom, completely, from his addiction. I sat down with Stephen and his wife as they shared their remarkable testimony of spiraling to the depths, yet overcoming in Christ and the lessons along the way. We are grateful for their incredible transparency on such a taboo topic.

    Minimalism with Joy! Young

Joy Young, a mom, wife, and Springfield, Missouri native and creative, truly embodies her name (because there's nothing worse than meeting a depressed JOY")! We talked about minimalism and how it cultivates Christian principles, reverse red flags (hello!), puppet ministry, and letting go to move forward.

Forced to Create with Melissa Crawford

Melissa Crawford is a spoken word artist and creative with the gift to see potential and create. She holds a degree in chemistry, and she's been working with students at LSU for 16 plus years. In this episode, she reflects on the investment her grandmother and others made in her life, the struggles of creatives, and she puts into perspective how Godly women should honor God with their gifts. Take a listen to this phenomenal conversation with a dear friend. Be sure to follow https://www.youtube.com/@RealKingKidJo as mentioned in this episode!

Leaving the Safety Net with Whitley Stewart

Leaving the Safety Net with Whitley Stewart

I chatted with my dear friend, Whitley Stewart, about her new life in Florida. She also talked about how she learned the art of design, what it's like working with her spouse, David, maturing in Christ Jesus, leaving the safety net for a new state, and we took a nostalgic journey through live stream perspectives and the evolution of media. We dove into a few topics and scratched at a few--like friends do. Be sure to check out Whitley's Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/SupermomPrintables and you can follow her on Instagram @sweetteatribe

Inspiring!!

This is so inspiring Kim!!!! It’s needed and I know it will push me to fully walk in my calling. We’ve been on this journey together for a while now, and it’s been an honor to work with you here and there over the years. You’ve pushed me as an artist—from set design to poetry—-and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
