I find it ironic that Trumpers like md this podcast before Trump came into office but now I have a problem with it because it points out all the unconstitutionality and vast overreach of the executive branch while he’s in office leading us down the road to authoritarianism that has already been paid by multiple different scenarios from history. Doesn’t mean we’ll end up where we’re currently going, but if we don’t change direction, we’ll end up where we’re going. Funny how these people can learn so much about civics and then not apply it because they are so brainwashed with by the cult of personality that is Trump. They’re highly invested and this narrative of belief informs their identity and ego. Their victims of bias confirmation, special pleading, sunk cost fallacy, moving the goal post and more. Like most people, they think they’re so informed, and can’t even comprehend the possibility of not knowing what they have the hubris to be confident in believing they do know. This is exemplary of what it means to be willfully ignorant, credulous gullibles.

We have to be personally responsible for our household & protect our families - live within our means & payoff loans as soon as possible. I assume presidents & members of congress do the same for their households, then why hasn’t congress and the president balance the federal budget and pay down the national debt since Gingrich/Clinton? I hate paying taxes just as much as the next person, but a national debt of over $36 trillion is irresponsible and a threat to national security. Its not common sense that we can decrease revenue (taxes) and balance the budget. A household or nation shouldn’t spend more than it collects each year in income or revenue. In fact, with the national debt, we should be spending less than collected revenue & use excess revenue to pay down the principle of the $36 trillion national debt (like a family paying down credit card debt). I liked Steve Forbes’ recommendation when he was running for president - simple national flat tax. But without any tax exemptions - none for the poor, middle-class nor the wealthy. So simple the federal income taxes can be filed on a post card - no need for specialized tax attorneys/accountants.

I used to love this show. It was one of my favorites to learn about history and understanding my rights as a citizen. It has gone way down hill especially since President Trump came into office. I feel like all this show does anymore is bash anything he does rather than do research on it and maybe compare both sides. This has turned into a one sided show and I will now be unfollowing. Super disappointed.
