    The Everything is Political Episode

    The Everything is Political Episode

    The Everything is Political Episode
What the f**k, when did everything become political? When did everything from how we eat, to what we wear, to the conversations we have with friends all become distinctive political narratives about us? How did we get to a place where if you wear a mask or don't wear a mask it says who you support for president? This is madness, so we figured we'd talk about it.
    On this episode we discuss:
-How many of us are making things up, calling them facts, sharing them, when in fact these are often just our opinions
-Because of technology, everyone has the ability now to speak their mind publically
-Everyone has subtle and hidden biases many of which show up in the political conversation and often is unaddressed
-We are what we already believe
    -We must do better
-We hide from what we don't want to hear

    The Iowa Derecho Disaster Episode

    The Iowa Derecho Disaster Episode

    The Iowa Derecho Disaster Episode
Roughy two weeks ago a powerful derecho hit Iowa leaving over 14,000 Iowans without power, millions of dollars in crops destroyed, many without clean water, access to food, safe shelter, as well as many other necessities for safety and survival. The thing is, not many of us even knew it happened, what a derecho is, or what was happening in Iowa as it wasn't being reported on National News. We knew because Bree and her family live in Cedar Rapids one of the hardest-hit areas. Bree and her family and so many others described the experience as, "it looks like a war zone."

Most of us have never lived through a disaster like this, so we felt like it would be great not only to shed light on Iowa as they still need help and support but also to give Bree the space to share her experience.

    We discuss:
-The impact of dealing with a disaster
-How to keep life moving forward
-How we each deal with it differently
-The impact of the community and media

Loving this podcast

It’s fun, they are honest, and go deep. While I don’t agree with everything they say I love that they create the conversations that have me think about what I believe. Alex & London are pretty hot also. 😍😍😍

Awesome, Motivating Podcast made by Authentic People

I’ve listened to every episode of this podcast and it has kept me so motivated through this quarantine! I found out about it through Bree who I’ve followed for years but getting to know Alex and London through the Podcast has been great too! I’m sure all ages can take something away from this but at the age of almost 29 I take so many life lessons from it. All of them are in their 30s and they have hit the nail on the head with every topic. I find myself agreeing constantly to their discussion and so passionately wanting to join in! It gives me hope and motivation to keep going on my path. I could go on and on for this review but mostly just want to say thank you for taking your time to make this. You’re all so inspiring and most of I appreciate your authenticity and willingness to talk about the tough topics.
