    MNM Mail - Email Solution

    MNM Mail - Email Solution

    Email solution.

Liam Breck joins Doc Searls and Dan Lynch on FLOSS Weekly to discuss email of today. Given its role as a massively popular way to commit cybercrime, it's easy to see email as a problem that needs a solution. That's what Breck sees, and why he has created MNM Mail, which he calls "a legitimate email replacement: a client, a server, and a simple protocol between them... designed for everyone." In this episode Liam joins Doc Searls and Dan Lynch, explaining how mnm works, why the world needs it, and how developers and business folk can join in to help improve it and drive adoption.

    TiddlyWiki - Jeremy Ruston

    TiddlyWiki - Jeremy Ruston

Jeremy Ruston, creator and maintainer of TiddlyWiki, joins Doc Searls and Jonathan Bennett on FLOSS Weekly for a lively hour that goes by fast. It's so interesting as Ruston shares how he invented TiddlyWiki almost by accident, and how quickly every new use (and there is no limit to those) expanded the community and the code base with contributors and users all over the world working together to acquire what Jeremy calls "superpowers" of utility and creation.

Hosts: Doc Searls and Jonathan Bennett

    Guest: Jeremy Ruston

Notetaking With Dendron - Kevin Lin and Dendron

Notetaking With Dendron - Kevin Lin and Dendron

    Kevin Lin and Dendron.

Kevin Lin joins Jonathan Bennett and Katherine Druckman to talk about Dendron, a note-taking application built on top of VSCode. After many years of taking notes, Kevin found himself with a massive, unmanageable personal knowledge store. None of the existing note-taking applications quite solved his problem, so Kevin did the only reasonable thing, and wrote his own. On this episode of FLOSS Weekly, Lin covers some of his design decisions, including building Dendron on VSCode and Javascript, and helps us understand how Dendron can help tame the jungle of personal knowledge.

Hosts: Jonathan Bennett and Katherine Druckman

    Guest: Kevin Lin
