    F&F C2-E135 - I Could Lie

Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests trekked across Rokasing and finally reached the capital city of Völsung, where they found the city packed to capacity with warriors from across the region, all ready for a fight that had yet to come.     Leaving Cassie outside the walls, the Tempests entered the city in search of the Jarl or Zaan’s father, Qan’Karro, hoping to share what they had learned. They found Qan’Karro first, giving Zaan a long-awaited reunion with his father—though with everything happening around them, there was little time to enjoy it.     Völsung was overflowing with fighters, with still more on the way, but the Jarl faced one rather significant problem: they had an army ready to hurl itself into battle and no idea where the enemy actually was.     G3-MENI, meanwhile, was safe and about as healthy as one could reasonably expect while missing their legs. They filled the Tempests in on what little they knew, but there were still far more questions than answers.     With evidence that cultists were operating inside Völsung itself, the Jarl placed the Tempests in the care of his Listener, Skava, and tasked them with rooting out the spies within the city. The hunt proved successful, followed by a rousing bout of interrogation involving chains, fire, spells, and threats of feathers. When the captive proved less useful alive than they had hoped, the Tempests turned to Lakin’s ability to negotiate with the dead instead.     From the dead spy, they learned that information from within Völsung was being passed to a Cult Acolyte named Cedric. The spy had never seen Cedric’s face, however, as the Acolyte always wore a mask.     The day still had one more surprise in store. During the interrogation, Kasumi was suddenly overwhelmed by a powerful sense of rage and loss—emotions that were not her own. Attempts to identify or dispel whatever magic might be affecting her revealed nothing, so the Tempests returned to Cassie, where Kasumi attempted to contact her deity, Shenshe.     Through a series of signs and a brief ritual, Kasumi managed to hear the dragon god’s voice. Shenshe revealed the source of the grief Kasumi had felt: her mate, Tlazocolatl, was gone. She gave Kasumi a single task.     Find him.     We rejoin the Tempests now aboard Cassie, just outside the walls of Völsung, as they decide what comes next.   We have merch! F&F C2-E134 - How Many Gauges You Want?

Last we left off... The Tempests journeyed North into Zaan's homeland, the frozen region known as Rokasing. As with much of Archeron, Rokasing was in a rough way. According to the Jarl of his hometown, many of the able-bodied fighters had gone East to Volsung where other Rokasinians were gathering to handle this cultist threat.     The Tempests headed East themselves, though it was a slow journey. Deep snows covered the path, requiring Cassie to deploy her spider-like legs often to make it through the heavy snow drifts. This did give the Tempests plenty of time to reach out to family, old friends, and acquaintances to ask for aid in the coming fight. They knew roughly where the cultists were, but not precisely where. Their hope was to learn more once arriving in Völsung.     After taking the better part of a week to travel across Rokasing, and encountering a disturbing, cannibalistic Giant Elk along the way, the Tempests have finally laid eyes on the capitol city, Völsung.     We rejoin them now as they descend down the slope towards the makeshift camps gathered outside the city's main defensive walls.   We have merch! F&F C2-E133 - Flesh for the Drum Heads

Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests have finally made it to Rokasing, the frozen north. Zaan was quite literally thumping for joy to finally return home after being abroad for over a year. It was finally time to tell his tale to his northern brethren.     But things were not quite as he recalled them to be.     After passing through the Isovergang outpost, they made a beeline towards Zaan's hometown, Sverker, and found that its population was fairly diminished. The able bodied fighters had left for Völsung some time ago to join with the rest of the Rokasinians and determine what could be done about the threat in their homeland.     Jarl Brunhilde was only able to relay so much information, as she simply didn't know the answers to their questions. So, Zaan reached out to his father, Qan'Karro who had supposedly left for Völsung with the others, and learned that to travel north of the road was a bad idea and that nature was not to be trusted these days.     Kasumi also reached out with the book of sending, first to G3-MENI to get a better idea of where she was exactly and to ascertain the state of her health. Mostly mended, G3-MENI was in the main long house of Völsung. Kasumi then reached out to Brick with the book, but the spell failed.     With no other answers, and with much reluctance from Zaan, the Tempests set off once more into the somewhat unknown wilderness to meet up with the rest of the warrior nation to see what could be done about these detestable cultists.   We have merch! F&F C2-E132 - Tire Dad

Last we left off, the Tempests were heading North across the landbridge that connects the continent of Drago to Rokasing, the frozen North. Their destination being the capitol city of Volsung where there missing friend G3-MENI claimed to have taken refuge in after being saved by her brother and past Tempest member, Brick. Last she spoke, she didn't know of his current status or whereabouts.     The journey was anything but smooth however. This stretch of land is not often traveled and there is no clear road to pass through. The temperature dropped rapidly and the biting sea air coming from the East chilled them to the bone. Their forward scout Bogbo came across a large feather from an unknown creature and set out ahead once more. When they saw him next, he was asleep in the middle of the road. Thinking fast, Lakin flew skyward to see what he could perceive and was promptly attacked by a Harpy. With blood in the air, the Tempests were set upon by a flock of Harpies. But their alluring voices were only so effective and a brief aerial skirmish took place. But the tides of the fight turned abruptly. More Harpies flew in from the West, but seemed to be ignoring the Tempests as a bright glow rose from the far side of the mountains. Lakin was none-too-keen on letting any of the Harpies escape and gave chase, blinding and confusing a few of them.     One hapless Harpy was so disoriented, blinded by Lakin's spell, that it doubled back and flew straight into the claws of an approaching Ember Roc. The beast seemed to be hunting the Harpies, but once both Zaan and Pez took shots at the colossal beast, its attention shifted. Urging Cassie onward, the Tempests began to flee. But the loud roaring of the cannon atop Cassie's roof drew the Roc's attention to it and with a flap of its burning wings, set Cassie's right side aflame.     Thinking quickly, Lakin flew towards the Ember Roc and just managed to lay his hand on the creature's flank, sending it to a different plane of existence before he himself crashed down into the snow. Adrenaline flowing.. paranoia, fear, and tempers high.. The Tempests continued northward towards the frozen expanse of Zaan's homeland.   We have merch! F&F C2-E131 - It's A "Light Over There" Problem

Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests continue their journey north toward Rokasing. Rather than risk the open waters again, they have chosen to travel overland through the Knightly Kingdoms. Their route brought them to Northerwren, a Welterwatch outpost standing as the last bastion of the region before the frozen north begins in earnest.     After a very close call at the gate, where the guards discovered that Zaan was one of the so-called “northern savages,” the Tempests were allowed inside to prepare for the cold ahead. Lakin hired the camp tailor, Ridley, to make heavier cloaks and warmer jackets for the group. But, when Ridley offered a compliment or two to Moriko, Lakin immediately assumed the man was trying to court the pink eladrin and challenged him to a duel for the right to do so.     Ridley accepted and it went poorly for him. The much larger orc proceeded to thoroughly beat the tailor into the dirt, though no lasting harm was done. Zaan healed Ridley afterward, and the tailor returned to work on the party’s cold weather gear. Once their new clothing was ready, the Tempests wasted no time setting out across the land bridge to the north.     We rejoin them now on the road, shortly after Bogbo discovered a disturbingly large feather lying along the path, with none of them quite certain what sort of creature it might have come from.   We have merch! F&F C2-E130 - Foxy Grandpa

Last we left off, the Tempests were heading North towards Rokasing, the Frozen North. It's where the enemy seemed to be operating, and it's where their old friend GE-MINI had been moved to after supposedly being rescued by Brick, though she was severely damaged. The party stuck to the roads, deciding that it would be easier, if not longer, than try to cut through the forest with a giant mobile cart-home..     Their first stop would be Crossroads, a small junction town they'd passed through previously before heading North West. Unfortunately, they arrived in the early hours of nightfall and the gates were already closed. Undeterred, Kasumi decided to grab Zaan, their most 'diplomatic' party member, to see about getting the guards to open the gates for them.     Without pre-amble, Zaan leapt up onto the walls and asked if the gate could be lowered, then was immediately arrested. Kasumi was a tad bit too late to stop these events, and was turned away despite flailing around Sir Reginald's insignia and letter. The gates were to remained closed through the night on the Duchess' orders. Zaan would have to spend the night in jail.     Come the morning, the Tempests waltzed right in to Crossroads and went about freeing their companion from confinement. Zaan however, rushed out in his eagerness to be free after paying the fine and nearly scarpered off with his manacles still around his wrists.     We rejoin the Tempests now as they regroup just outside the jail in Crossroads and come to the realization that their forward scout, Bogbo, was missing.   We have merch! F&F C2-E129 - It's Deer for Spanish

Picking up where we last left off, The Tempests returned to where their journey first began, the wild, untamed desert lands of the Drago continent. It was not how they left it however. A large beast had appeared and was leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. The party had no time to linger however.. The very world was at stake and their haste towards the frozen north took precedence.     They weren't heartless however. Even though Lakin was quite irate at being shot by an arrow, the Tempests still paused long enough to help heal the remaining Welterwatch forces that protected the pass through the Dragonfire Mountains that lead to the Knightly Kingdoms. Pez offered to lighten their load a bit, but was told to put his gun away and behave.     Their short stop coming to an end, the Tempests convinced their recent addition, Mug, to stay behind and help guard the pass. Some smooth talking from Lakin convinced the Ogre to stay behind so he could boss around all the little pink skins.     On through the pass they went once more, stumbling across a small scouting party of Cultists who were swiftly dispatched by Bogbo, then questioned by Lakin pre and post death. Strangely, the moment the Cultist's resuscitated skull uttered the name of their leader, the soul attached to it was forcibly ripped away, causing a bit of psychic backlash. Arsinoe Balor seems to be the name of the mastermind behind all of the cult's activities. What is their end goal? To bring Saedhir into the world. The only question remaining is how?     We rejoin the Tempests now as they gather at the exit to the pass in the Knightly Kingdoms.   We have merch! F&F C2-E128 - Hammer Bros

Last we left off, the Tempests were moving through the West on their journey North and came across a ghost town. Perhaps a week or more prior, the denizens had left the town unguarded and unmanned, taking what they needed and left the rest behind. Undeterred, the Tempests continued on towards the pass through the mountain.     Approaching the pass, the original members of the Tempests noticed something a bit different compared to the last time they came through. Barricades, trenches, and other defensives lines had been erected. Curious about this change, Lakin took Zaan and Pez skyward to investigate. The soldiers let loose a volley of arrows towards the flying group and struck Lakin in the shoulder, which infuriated the Orc. However, Zaan was able to diffuse the situation and the leader of the soldiers was called out to handle things. Sir Reginald greeted the Tempests, recalling their last visit through the pass and quickly explained their situation. Many of his Harpermere soldiers had abandoned their post in lieu of returning to their homeland, but the Welterwatch men stayed behind to defend the pass and assure that nothing heinous came through. Magic had dwindled or faded entirely and many assaults by members of the Transcendent Maw had harried their position in the past, so seeing people flying immediately put the men on the defense. And the best defense is a good offense.     With tempers quelled and Lakin... somewhat.. subdued, we rejoin the Tempests now as Sir Reginald escorts the Tempests to the Dragonshade Camp where Zaan and Moriko could help heal the wounded men and perhaps learn more about what was happening on the continent of Drago.   We have merch!
