    Stamped

    Racism is all around us, and it has been here since the beginning.  Plastered on news sites worldwide, the plague of racist thought and actions has reached a fever pitch in the country we call home.  Reynolds doesn't tip toe around the subject, he stares it in it's ugly face and creates an adaptation of Ibram X. Kendi's adult work, Stamped from the Beginning, in teen-friendly language that makes it easy to pick up and put down at will.  Read in chapter by chapter doses, Stamped is a novel that every American student should read and ponder.  Stamped gives us another view of history-- our history-- that we should never forget and always learn from.
