    The Manifest Presence of God

    Class is back in session this week! As an unofficial Part II to last week's episode, this podcast is a follow up to "The Fear of the Lord." I dive into the difference between omnipresence and manifest presence, the definition of theophany (LOL I definitely pronounced it wrong in the video-please give me grace!) and why the Lord may show Himself in these manifest ways.  I also give scriptural examples of how each member of the triune God has manifested their presence to humans throughout the Bible and a list of forms God has taken in the Old and New Testament when manifesting His presence. It is always an honor when we can have a personal interaction with our Creator and we should continue to seek to meet Him in such an intimate and intentional form.     The Fear of The Lord

    Class is in session this week! I'm talking on one of the most dense, daunting and holy topics- the fear of the Lord. This podcast is by no means all encompassing- there is so much to this discussion and I only scratched the surface.  If you'd like to grow deeper in your intimacy and relationship with God, this principle is crucial to spiritual formation and maturation. I talk on what the fear of the Lord is, scriptures that bring about reverential awe and wonder for God as well as the benefits of having holy fear. Utilizing the old and new testament text, TPT, NIV and NKJV translations and John Bevere's book I walk through the importance of the fear of the Lord with Biblical theology, real life examples and personal experiences.     I'm Not Where I Want to Be, But I'm Not Where I Was

    I give updates on aspects of my spiritual disciplines like; how I failed my social media fast, I'm attempting to read the Bible in a year and my bible study and I had our annual worship and vision night where I wrote out prayer requests for 2026. I also address the severity, both spiritually and legally, of the protest that occurred in the middle of a worship service at a church in Minneapolis.     New Year, Not A New Test

    As we enter into another new year, I wanted to talk about how God has used specific words/themes over the last four years to invite me into deeper revelations, conversations and relationship with Him. I initially thought that after failing to "master" any one of these words that come New Years the following year, I wouldn't be given a new one, that I would need to "pass" one to move on to the next. Instead, in His kindness, God has done the exact opposite. He continues to bring me into each new year with a new word- one that is intimate and specific, like only one who formed my heart and knows it could draw up. In partnership with the Holy Spirit, I like to hold a vision night in January, where I partner with the Lord in writing out prayers, personal, audacious and on behalf of others. I walk you through how I organize my category of prayers, my process in dating them and eventually one day moving (at least some) into the "answered prayer" jar. Holding the tension of disappointment in the prayers that were answered with a "no or a not yet," while rejoicing and praising God for His goodness in the ones answered with a "yes," is a practice I have come to admire.
