This is the first podcast review I’ve ever written, but after two years of dedicated listening I felt moved to. I found the show during Michigan’s national championship run and was instantly hooked. Serena’s sharp legal takes on the NCAA’s shenanigans drew me in, and what keeps me here is the combination of her and Matt’s football IQ, their personalities, and—most of all—the dynamic between them.
As a queer female Michigan alum in the PNW, it can feel isolating to care this much about Michigan football. This is the only podcast that makes me feel like I’m actually in conversation with friends who get it.
I’ve seen reviews saying “leave politics out, etc etc” - ignore them. Their full personalities and perspectives—including politics—are what make this podcast unique. Keep it all. That honesty and authenticity is exactly why this podcast stands out from all the cookie-cutter sports shows.
Five stars, no notes. Go Blue.
