His Parents Left Cuba With Nothing. He Built One of Miami's Largest Brokerages From That Story.

His father left Cuba at 15. His mother's family fled Castro with nothing. From that foundation, Jorge Guerra Jr. built one of Miami's largest real estate brokerages. He got his start at 19. By 26, he launched Real Estate Sales Force (RESF). Then the 2008 crash hit. His wife was pregnant, the bills stacked up, and his entire business model collapsed overnight. So he went back to the basics—knocking on doors, working nonstop, doing whatever it took to survive. Today, RESF has 500+ agents across four South Florida offices, and Jorge serves as the 2026 President-Elect of Florida Realtors. But at his core, he's still the same man shaped by watching his father work construction and do whatever it took to provide. This episode is about resilience, faith, and what it really takes to build something when everything falls apart. 🎙 ABOUT FORGED INTO MAN Forged Into Man™ is a raw, unfiltered podcast about what it takes to become a better man—through trauma, faith, family, business, and the moments that break and rebuild us. Introducing Esther Perel: The REAL Reason You’re Struggling to Find Love (Fix THIS to Build Chemistry in Real Life) from On Purpose with Jay Shetty. Follow the show: On Purpose with Jay Shetty Today,  Jay Shetty welcomes back Esther Perel to unpack a growing tension in modern relationships: in a world more connected than ever, why so many people feel deeply disconnected. Esther reframes dating struggles as something deeper than love itself, pointing to a broader loss of real-life social practice. Without the everyday interactions that once taught us how to approach, connect, and handle rejection, dating now feels like a high-stakes performance instead of a natural progression. What was once built through play, curiosity, and gradual connection has been compressed into a single moment of pressure, turning love into something overwhelming rather than something we can explore. Jay and Esther explore the illusion of connection in the digital age, where texting replaces talking and screens replace presence. Esther explains how this disembodied way of relating strips away the elements that create real intimacy, like eye contact, tone of voice, touch, and shared energy. While it can feel like we are communicating more, we are often losing depth, nuance, and emotional resonance. This shift has shaped a culture that avoids friction and discomfort, yet still feels more anxious, lonely, and exhausted. In trying to make relationships easier and more efficient, we may be losing the very experiences that give them meaning. In this episode you'll learn: How to Build Real Connection Offline How to Turn Dating Into Discovery, Not Pressure How to Be More Curious Instead of Judgmental How to Create Attraction Through Presence Not Perfection How to Ask for What You Truly Need How to Build Trust in Small, Consistent Moments How to Balance Independence and Interdependence How to Stay Open to Love Without a Checklist If there’s one thing to hold onto, it’s this: nothing about love is broken, you’re just being asked to approach it differently. The world may have made connection feel more complicated, but at its core, it still comes back to showing up, being present, and allowing yourself to be seen without needing to get everything right. From Police Officer to Entrepreneur: The Fight to Rebuild a Life (Full Episode)

David Kadun was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer by age 23. By 34, PTSD had brought him to his knees. In this raw and unfiltered interview on Forged Into Man, David shares the full story of how a quiet childhood in a small Canadian farm town shaped his grit, discipline, and sense of responsibility—and how that same mindset led him into a career that would ultimately cost him everything he thought defined him. As an RCMP traffic analyst, David spent years immersed in the aftermath of violent crashes—documenting death, reliving scenes frame by frame, and standing in court beside grieving parents while offenders walked free. What he was never taught was how to process the weight of it all. In November 2013, the dam broke. David collapsed in his own home, shaking and crying, his mind and body finally giving out. What followed were some of the darkest days of his life: heavy medication, memory loss, isolation from fellow officers, and suicidal thoughts. He credits his wife, his two young daughters, and his ingrained training to "fight until you die" for keeping him alive. Losing his badge—especially after his father had proudly idolized him for wearing it—cut deeper than anything else. But that loss also forced David to confront a question many men never stop to ask: Who am I without the title? This interview explores: Growing up isolated and learning independence early The psychological toll of repeated exposure to death and trauma The culture of silence around PTSD in law enforcement Hitting rock bottom and surviving it Rebuilding identity, purpose, and confidence after losing the badge Today, David is a husband, father, and businessman who openly speaks about PTSD, masculinity, and healing. He's building a new life in real estate—not because he has to, but because purpose still matters. This is not a story about quitting. It's a story about becoming forged through loss. 👉 Listen to the full interview and hear the story in David's own words.
