    Fort Wayne FC's First Preseason Friendly with FC Cincinnati 2

    Fort Wayne Football Club got their first taste of real preseason competition this Saturday traveling to Milford, Ohio to face MLS Next Pro side, FC Cincinnati 2. The match was closed to the public and the media but the match-up was intriguing. We'll talk about what we can learn from the limited information we have about this match and what the goals may be heading into their second friendly next week against Bethel University. We'll also talk to Alyssa Weiseman, captain of the Summit City Sentinels Women's team about the start of their season and what fans can expect at their home opener next Sunday at 5 pm at the Classic City Center in Waterloo, Indiana.     Building a Strong Roster in Fort Wayne

    This past week Fort Wayne Football Club announced four new player signings, three of whom are defenders which we believe indicates a strong roster build with players who can not only defend well, but who have great ability to pass the ball accurately up the pitch.     The USL Players Association has yet to come to terms with league headquarters about a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that would include a higher league minimum salary and more consistent health and wellness benefits for players across the league. Though this dispute only directly impacts USL Championship clubs at the moment, the ripples may soon be felt throughout USL League One who only has two years left of their current CBA.
