    Local Selection 295: POSER

Our latest Local Selection welcomes Irish-born, UK-based DJ, live-act and producer Adam Kelly, aka POSER. For this instalment, he delivers just under an hour of carefully shaped selections that are warm, fluid and effortlessly controlled. The recording is one curated with intention, balancing subtle energy shifts with moments of real depth. Dial in for the next hour. POSER is the electronic music moniker of Irish producer and DJ Adam Kelly, who has quickly emerged as one of the most promising names across the UK and Irish electronic scenes in recent years. Drawing influence from disco, hip-hop, house and modern club sounds, his output balances groove-led energy with an emotive edge. After cutting his teeth in Dublin’s dance music community, Adam discovered a deeper passion for production during lockdown. His debut single, ‘Je T’aime’, landed in June 2022 and picked up early support from BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Jaguar. Since then, a steady run of releases has seen him surpass one million streams on Spotify. Now based in London, POSER has immersed himself in the city’s diverse electronic landscape, a move that continues to shape and refine his evolving sound while preserving his distinct musical identity. His momentum has been reinforced through his selection for the Roundhouse Resident Artist Programme and AVA Festival’s Creators Forum, both of which played a key role in developing his live show. He has since performed live at Roundhouse, The Great Escape Festival and Culture Night Dublin. On the DJ front, he has secured notable support slots for Oden & Fatzo at Index, O’Flynn at The Racket Space and 49th and Main at The Bernard Shaw. POSER’s contribution to this week’s Local Selection is a refined showcase of his immaculate ear for French touch and groove-driven house, seamlessly weaving in a selection of unreleased original material. It’s a mix that is equal parts uplifting and introspective. One that leads with emotion. Adam has kindly shared his tracklist, which can be viewed below: Entrance Places (ft. Local Selection 294: Lunaks

This week's contribution to the Local Selection features rising Wicklow-based DJ and producer Lunaks to the series. Lock in for the next hour as he shares his vision of techno through his lens via these stunning selections. Operating in the stripped-back realms of techno, crafting a sound defined by tension, release and restraint. His approach is rather uncompromising. Typically focused on deep grooves and subtle movement, his productions aim to draw people in through hypnotic undertones. Having made recent gig appearances in Berlin, alongside Fuinneamh Festival and numerous standout sets at major Dublin parties, Lunaks has been steadily building momentum both locally and abroad. His productions have garnered support from a range of artists in the industry, such as future.666, Tommy Holohan, and Blasha & Allatt as well as a wealth of others that are keen on what's next to come. His recent EP for Research captures the direction of his current stylistic output, and accurately so. This recording firmly showcases Lunaks’ techno philosophy. Eerie, polished, and contemporary sound design runs throughout the mix, while off-kilter experimental glimpses keep the listener on edge, constantly anticipating what comes next. Steady, sleek, and full of character, this one is a heavy hitter. Lunaks ------------------------- SC: @lunax123456 IG: www.instagram.com/lunaks.dj Four Four Magazine

Four Four Premiere: Faetch & Sunil Sharpe - Shinplant [HAVEN]

HAVEN are back with their vinyl operation with a fresh plate of grubby Techno heat from Irish heavyweights Faetch & Sunil Sharpe on the Grotteca EP. Featuring 4 original rippers and a remix from Italian legend DJ Plant Texture of upfront club pressure, the NZ-based label are proud to transmit some of the finest in creeping electronics from across the globe. The A-side kicks off with ‘Bleed In’ with its tough drum-work and hypnotising atmospheres eventually descending in to an all-out stomp with one of the filthiest synth-lines in the label’s history hitting half-way through. This is followed up with ‘Test Breaks’ - a broken-beat slammer with a ton of gritty synth design and rear-shaking rhythms. The first side is closed with DJ Plant Texture’s remix of ‘Bleed In’, where driving 909 hits combine with the original synth line for a club-ready weapon ready to get those feet moving. On the B-side ‘Vapornation’ keeps the energy rolling with its rolling congas, heavy kick, and eerie atmospheres tailor-made for a concrete basement. Finally, ‘Shinplant’ closes the record with full-steam-ahead drums and squalid synth rhythms to end yet another plate of dance-floor ammunition from the HAVEN camp. credits releases February 6, 2026 All tracks produced + mixed by Faetch & Sunil Sharpe Remix by DJ Plant Texture Mastering by Conor Dalton @ Glowcast Vinyl cut by Simon @ The Exchange Artwork by Marie Celeste Lawrence

  4. Local Selection 293: SEBORO

    Local Selection 293: SEBORO

This week’s entry to Local Selection comes from Seboro, one half of Dublin collective Nocturnal Animal, who delivers an hour-long live recording, guiding listeners through jackin’, rolling grooves, setting the tone to a perfect simmer. After relocating from Berlin to Dublin, Seboro has quickly established himself as a driving force in the Irish techno scene. Through his collective, Nocturnal Animals, he has cultivated a dedicated community centred on a signature dark and minimal aesthetic, a movement defined by an unwavering ‘music first’ philosophy. 2025 marked a major milestone for Seboro: with two No. 1 EPs on the Beatport Raw Techno charts and debut sets at iconic venues such as Sisyphos, KitKat, and ADE in Amsterdam, he proved his sound resonates well beyond the local circuit. Seboro has also earned regular support slots for international heavyweights, including Marcel Dettmann, Len Faki, Ben Klock, Sama Abdulhadi, Alan Fitzpatrick, and Maceo Plex. This mix feels like a culmination of Seboro’s various influences, where shades of house and techno collide to create a stomping yet thoughtful journey. Echoes of Berlin nights at Panorama Bar and Sisyphos shine through, while Saturday nights at Dublin’s Index and Wigwam make themselves felt. The mix flows through long, seamless blends of lush chords, pummeling 909-driven power, and nu-school tribal and minimal sounds you might expect to dominate Berghain’s main floor. It’s a kaleidoscopic look at the influences that have shaped Seboro thus far. Seboro ------------------------- SC: @seboro IG: www.instagram.com/seboro/ Four Four Magazine

  5. Local Selection 292: Aoife Nic Canna

Local Selection 292: Aoife Nic Canna

This week's contribution showcases one of Ireland's longest-serving DJs, as we host Dublin-based DJ Aoife Nic Canna to the series. Lock in for the next hour as she exhibits her slick selections and effortless technique throughout. For our latest iteration of the Local Selection, we welcome a legendary Irish vinyl DJ, Aoife Nic Canna to the series. Her contribution acts as the 292nd edition, where she sifts through her library, sharing various old school deep cuts in house and adjacent genres. A range of soft, elegant and warm selections can be heard over the course of the recording. Ideal listening for this glum Wednesday. Aoife has established a significant legacy during her 30+ years as a DJ. Acting as a central force in the Irish dance music scene since its first moves in the early 1990's. She was a founding member of the seminal Horny Organ Tribe. Dubbed the 'first lady of Irish house', she earned regular appearances at culture-defining nights and institutions like Cork's Mór Disco, Dublin's Temple of Sound, and Manchester's Hacienda. Continuing to hold several residencies across Ireland over her expansive career, she has, since Covid lifted, returned to playing regularly across Ireland. Some notable venues include Connollys of Leap, Opium, Hen's Teeth, Izakaya, The Bernard Shaw and Pawn Shop. Some other accolades include support for Inner City, spinning at Ealú le Grá and Paradise Lost in Ibiza, Carl Cox for District 8 and perhaps the biggest of all, supporting Soft Cell and OMD at St. Anne's Park to an audience of 20,000 people. Alongside DJing, in 2012 Aoife created and produced a six-part documentary on Irish club history called 'Folklore from the Dancefloor'. Listen here. This hour-long recording emits a metaphorical sense of fresh air, as Aoife shares a range of lesser-heard tunes with us for this edition. Fragments of punchy house tracks, some acid and slightly progressive, emotive selections in this mix, hitting all the right notes. Fortunately, Aoife has been so kind to share the tracklist for this mix with us. Aoife Nic Canna ----------------- SC: @aoifeniccanna IG: www.instagram.com/aoifeniccanna Four Four Magazine

  6. Local Selection 290: KEEVA G

    JAN 14

    Local Selection 290: KEEVA G

Introducing the first Local Selection of 2026, and the 290th edition of the series is Belfast-based DJ Keeva G, who has kindly contributed an hour of power which showcases her affinity for the harsher, mind-boggling edges of techno. A statement mix right from the off. No playing around here. Keeva G has steadily carved her place within the Irish techno scene over the last few years as a compelling, sought-after DJ. Recognised for her diverse sets that incorporate hypnotic soundscapes with raw, driving techno. Her love for the genre’s foundations is unmistakable, with selections often nodding to old-school selections, drawing inspiration from the gritty, machine-driven sounds that defined techno's deep history. With a background shaped by years immersed in the dance music scenes of Amsterdam, London, and New York, Keeva has harnessed this time spent across a wide range of dancefloors and channelled her specific sound that is a staple in her sets, which is both dynamic and uncompromising. Fusing hypnotic textures with a relentless sense of movement, her sets balance the raw energy of classic techno with a modern, groove-focused flavour that typically draws influences from Bas Mooy, ø [Phase], and Sunil Sharpe. Having built a strong repertoire in a relatively short span of time, Keeva G has earned herself notable slots at Fuinneamh, Emerge, and If You Know You Know Festival. Not to mention Club M01 in Berlin with Nexus, as well as Belfast’s iconic Telegraph Building, Banana Block, The Ulster Sports Club and Pawn Shop in Dublin. This recording applies tension right from the off, and continues to nudge at the ever-expanding intensity as the recording progresses. All while tapping into and embracing a selection of eerily hypnotic and ethereal selections, while keeping that consistent hard-edge at the mixes core throughout.
