    7 Attitudes Every Christian Should Have | Pastor Nathan Bemis | 2 Timothy 2

    What kind of attitude should define the Christian life? Preaching from 2 Timothy chapter 2, Pastor Nathan Bemis walks through seven biblical attitudes that every Christian should seek to develop and maintain. The Christian life isn't meant to be passive. Scripture pictures the believer as a son, soldier, runner, husbandman, workman, vessel, and servant—each revealing something important about how Christians should live for Jesus Christ. The first attitude begins with knowing who you are: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” — 2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV) A Christian should never hide his identity in Christ. Pastor Bemis challenges believers to live openly as children of God and let others know that they belong to Jesus Christ. Then comes the soldier: “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” — 2 Timothy 2:3 (KJV) Christians will lose battles. They will experience hardship, temptation, disappointment, and failure. But a good soldier doesn't abandon the war because he lost a battle. Get back up and keep fighting. Pastor Bemis also challenges Christians to run their own race—and run it to win. Don't spend your Christian life trying to run someone else's race. Give God your best while there is still time. Seven attitudes of the Christian life:A Son — Know that you belong to God.A Soldier — Endure hardness and keep fighting.A Runner — Run your race faithfully and according to God's rules.A Husbandman — Labor while allowing God to produce the fruit.A Workman — Study and rightly divide the Word of Truth.A Vessel — Keep yourself clean and prepared for the Master's use.A Servant — Remember who your Master is and faithfully serve Him.One of the strongest challenges comes directly from 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV): “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Pastor Bemis urges Christians not merely to own or occasionally read their Bible, but to study it and make God's Word central to their lives. Finally, the Christian is a vessel prepared for the Master's use and a servant belonging to Jesus Christ. We were bought with a price at the cross. Our lives therefore belong to Him.     Reaching the Multitude Starts With You | Missionary Stephen Mustard | Luke 12

    How can Christians reach the world if God hasn't first reached their own hearts? In this special missionary service from Flathead Valley Baptist Church, Missionary Stephen Mustard shares an update from his family's ministry in Africa and preaches a powerful challenge from Luke 12. Stephen and his family have served in Africa for five years, ministering in Sierra Leone and now Zimbabwe through evangelism, discipleship, Bible distribution, pastoral training, and strengthening local churches. Their next chapter includes establishing a Bible-believing local church in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, while continuing rural Gospel outreach, including ministry among the Tonga people of the Binga region.
