    Seeing the Blessings Hidden Behind Every Setback

    No matter what is written in the story of our past, all of us can have a fresh start. I believe that the world's ruler is thought, and I know that when we conquer our thoughts, we can take control of the world and live the life of our dreams.     Today, I will share my story, which, as a counselor being used to listen rather than talking, is a bit weird. I will speak openly about my childhood and how I grew up in a family covered in the shade of alcoholism, violence, and scarcity.    I will also share a few of my bad choices as a young adult and how I ended up getting to a breaking point in my life where I decided to start loving myself, have self-compassion, and give me the chance of a fresh start.    Tune in and listen to the first episode of Fresh Start for the Mind and walk with me through my childhood, the challenges I've faced, and how I overcome them.
