Escape Fund or Rainy Day Fund?

Escape Fund or Rainy Day Fund?

In our opening chatter we talk about how our week has been. What’s on Our Timeline? We came across this on our timeline via power credit consultants: women are saving their own money, some of their husband's money and their joint money and they're calling it escape money. Let’s Talk Through It Our first friend makes significantly more money than her fiance, and did not feel obligated to tell him how much she makes. They discussed purchasing their first home together and after getting married she doesn’t want him to bank on her income to contribute to half of the bills. Our other friend is a male listener who said he and his wife struggled after his furlough from work and the pandemic. This was until his wife revealed her sizeable rainy day fund. Since then, he started his own rainy day fund and has put away a pretty good amount but doesn’t know if and how he should tell his wife. Pray! Work! Slay! And Show Off Your Melanated Excellence!
