Tennessee Board of Regents

Created initially as a monthly conversation on a book selected for reading and discussion, the book club has evolved into a podcast to allow for greater participation. One book is selected each spring and fall term for discussion with select faculty, staff, and administrators from across the TBR System. In the summer, a podcast featuring that year's SOAR finalists allows listeners to learn more about the exception faculty, staff, and students who were nominated for statewide recognition.

This podcast explores compassion, leadership, and community through the lens of women leaders in higher education. Each episode is anchored with a different type of tea as Dr. Heidi Lemingsits down with author Becca Stevens, TBR presidents and regents as they reflect on their leadership journeys, theirimpact, and their hopes for the future. Episond Guest: Vice Chair Emily Reynolds - TBR Board of Regents Her book, The Way of Tea and Justice, will be the focus of the podcast this fall as we discuss this important topic with leaders in higher education. Becca Stevens is a nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, priest, survivor, and founder and President of Thistle Farms. She has founded 12 nonprofits and justice enterprises, mentored another 70, and has raised over $75 million to support them. Becca has authored 12 books and sold over 300,000 copies. She has served as a chaplain at St. Augustine’s Chapel on Vanderbilt’s campus for almost 30 years.
