    Season 4, Episode 3 - Dark Waters

This episode is Part 2 of our conversation with Detective Tim Turnbull (Ret.)

Not only did he serve as lead investigator on the case, but he’s one of very few remaining first-person witnesses to the scene of the abandoned car following Sandra and John’s disappearance on November 16, 1996.

In this episode, we explore Detective Turnbull's theory of what happened.

    Season 4, Episode 4 - Satanic Panic

    Season 4, Episode 4 - Satanic Panic

The same night she and her son disappeared in November 1996, Sandra Jacobson called the Bismarck, North Dakota Police Department to report satanic activity in the area.

A fascination with Satanism and the occult took hold of American society during the 1980s. As it turns out, Bismarck has a longer and deeper connection to this dark taboo than most.

    Season 4 Thought Experiment

    Season 4 Thought Experiment

One aspect of that location along the Missouri River in Bismarck, North Dakota where Sandra Jacobson's car was found doesn't seem to fit in the established theory of what happened to Sandra, and her 5-year-old son John.

Neither has been seen since November 16, 1996.

Awesome Podcast

Scott is such a good narrator and presenter he could literally read the phonebook and it would probably sound interesting. But seriously, I’m so relieved/happy that he is continuing into season 4! This podcast is definitely one of my favorites. You can tell how much Scott passionately cares about every story, and he presents it in such a beautiful (haunting) way!

Fourth season is a let down

This fourth season has been a slog, to be honest. Love Scott and his past coverage of actual mysteries but there’s not this much to be said about a mentally ill woman who killed her self and her kid. It’s a tragedy. All this talk about the door and Sandra going to get gas… come on. This was a murder suicide, not a double homicide. Drawing the case out sounds more like Scott over-analyzing and over thinking endlessly to make things sound suspicious that are really just explained by irrational actors making bizarre decisions.
